N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (4 Viewers)

Brad...

that's almost too obvious to even state...
if you got the money...
eat a filet mignon...
not a top sirloin...
drive a Cadillac...
not a Volkswagon...

if you took that course in college...
that would be "Life 101"...
or
"He Who Has the Money, Makes the Rules"...

we're not talking a murder trial...
we're talking a frickin' misdemeanor...
big deal...
that verdict has no bearing on how Joe Public sees this...

whether he's declared innocent or guilty...
Johnny Cochran couldn't change the public perception of him now...
the damage is done...

if that video comes out...
those who have not already found him guilty by association...
will find him guilty once they watch that video...

I don't care what dream team he hires...
or what the verdict is...

Kraft is screwed on this one...
he's got a foul stink on him forever...

Regarding Kraft, the embarrassment is enough, why would he go to jail in any court over a first time misdemeanor for paying for a sex act? This is news? who cares.

Being wealthy means you can afford the best legal talent or the best this or that. It’s more likely that a person who is wealthy will be able to stay out of jail or obtain a lesser sentence than one who has to rely on legal aid. If you can afford the best attorney or accountant or whatever, why wouldn’t you avail yourself of the best?

That is certainly his prerogative. I would just question the judgment of a high profile figure attempting to avoid responsibility for an embarrassing crime that may be captured on videotape when all they have to do is pay a small fine and move on. It might actually be worse for his reputation if he is perceived as getting away with this due to his wealth and privilege. And it's his reputation that is at risk as there is no real possibility of any jail time. He is certainly due the legal protections afforded to every citizen but based on the known facts there doesn't appear to be any defense that lends itself to his innocence here. If he gets off, most will say it was due to his privileged status.

Actually, you have to look at the facts of the case. FACT - video cameras didn't have audio recording, and regarding the solicitation statute, 99% of it is whether there is an explicit transaction that has verbal "documentation". They don't. Technicality or not, I am not fully sure they will ever prove this and by him not taking their pay the fine community service, then we dismiss, then petition to expunge deal, I think this may never go to trial. And if he exposes that fact, then you can bet every case is going to be dropped. Investigation screwed up on that point big time.

The only thing the video will tell you is that he got a sexual favor, not if it is a crime!

I think he should fight it, why not, he has nothing to lose by fighting it as he is already embarrassed and the insinuation is there, guilty, innocent, it makes no difference.

Now, again, from a personal perspective, no dog in this hunt and really don't care, but I think unless they produce an eye witness and even then, usually you need more than their word or indisputable credibility, I believe he is going to do the "shuffle" on this case!

This may be a sting operation. So it's hard to say what evidence they have beyond typical security video unless they have already announced it. At a minimum, they have the guy going into a massage pallor twice, paying and receiving sexual acts in return. They will have records of his payments and apparently video tape of the act on more than one occasion. And maybe even the testimony of the women involved unless Craft has already paid them off and shipped them to that island where he keeps the equipment managers that deflated Brady's ball. I think it is OJ territory to suggest that it is insufficient to prove a crime. No doubt smart lawyers can occasionally convince some juror that up is down but why bother here? He is facing no major penalty. He knows he is guilty. It is not a matter of principle. He is just trying to avoid responsibility to mitigate further damage to his reputation. He may put up a token defense to see what law enforcement has on him and give the pretense of being the victim before ending this. If he pays enough, maybe some expert witness will claim he went there on a fact-finding mission to liberate the sex slaves and put his name in for the Noble Peace Prize. I don't see any tangible benefit for him to draw this out. Like I said, even if some legal miracle occurs and he gets off, that likely damages his reputation even further as someone who got away with it due to wealth and slick lawyers.

any verdict...
innocent or guilty has no influence on how the public sees this...
that's a done deal...
the media has already convicted him guilty...

or the NFL for that matter...

Goodell has his trusty catch phrase...
"more probable than not"...
and passes his own judgement...

too many times I have seen NFL players accused of something...
where the local authorities pass on pressing charges for insufficient evidence...
only to have the NFL administer their own sentence...

"Will Kraft get off?"
"He's doing the schuffle on this one"
"He's got a foul stink on him forever"

Honest to Christ, read between the lines here; the jokes literally write themselves.

As a fan of the New England Patriots; what Kraft does on his own time is none of my concern.

Do I think less of him as a result; yes.

Will it prevent me from rooting for the team; no.

Will there be any negative impact on the team; no.

That's all I give a **** about.

Talk about a whole lot of nothing.

Ok, carry on.

Sorry but the Kraft Eddie DeBartolo comparisons never seem to end.

In 1992 Eddie D. was accused of assault by a waitress. No charges were ever filed but the court of public opinion (outside of the Bay Area) found him guilty. Right or wrong Niner fans could have cared less.

Years after he sold the team a reporter asked him why he thought other owners didn't jump at the chance to vilify him since so many other franchises were jealous of the Niner's success. DeBartolo basically said that he surmised that other owners were advised that people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. In other words there were probably plenty of owners who had the same type of potential accusers who could appear at anytime.

Redskins have apparently traded for Qb Case Keenum. No details yet. Oh boy. -- Al

George...
don't take it personal...
it's not a slur on you...
if it were Kroenkie...the Rooney family...of "Jerrah" as you refer to him...
you would be as publicly interested and posting your comments on this matter...
as vigorously as anyone else or more...

Mike,
Understood, but honestly, these guys have private lives and what they do in them is not my concern.

Like Jerrah with the party bus strippers, or the Colts owner with the drugs and guns in his trunk or anyone else.

Talking about someone's faults/missteps/mistakes/problems is not something I am interested in, like Jason said, those in glass houses, I just want to keep my own house in order and not do anything to bring shame, ridicule and embarrassment to Minutemen Toy Soldiers...…………….:wink2:

The Antonio Brown saga just won't end. He nixed a trade to Buffalo and now more teams have dropped out of trade discussions with the Steelers.

He’s a nightmare! As great as he is, i wouldn’t want him on my roster.

Yep. You know what they say. I don’t care what you say about me, just spell my name right.

Honestly, gossiping about the foibles committed by billionaires is a waste of time. They don’t care what you or I think from our perspective of obscurity. They just want their money to work for them, and the value of the teams()they own to increase.

An Eagles trade of DE Michael Bennett to the Patriots is going down according to NFL sources, draft picks still be ironed out.

Me likey.

Holy **** this team...………..;)………………...

Trade is official; Bennett AND a 7th round pick to NE for a 5th...…………..he had 8 sacks last year, 30 QB pressures/hits.

Both would have led NE last year...…………………….LOL...…………………..

Idiot of the Year Award...

David Irving...
on his social media network...
posted a video of himself smoking a joint...
while saying he has officially quit the Cowboys and the NFL...
after receiving his latest suspension (indefinite)...
for a drug test...

I think this is his 3rd or 4th suspension...
a truly gifted athlete lacking any cerebral understanding what he is throwing away to get high...

the Cowboys have been overly patient with him and his antics for several years...
paying for his drug counseling...tolerating his lack of availability due to suspensions...
even hiring someone to watch over him (a babysitter basically)...

in a few years...
when he's flipping burgers at McDonalds...
and his talents have diminished beyond acceptable for a chance back in the NFL ...
I wonder if he will regret this...^&grin

and it probably doesn't matter...
I bet after the NFL sees this video...
he will be upgraded to a lifetime ban...
what he did in the video...
it's a slap in their face
