N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (2 Viewers)

Nick Bosa is out for the remainder of the pre-season with a severe ankle sprain. It remains to be seen if he will be available for the start of the regular season.

Per the 49ers the only knock on him going into the draft was that he was injury prone. It looks like that fear is starting to come to fruition.
 
Another round of pre-season games, another set of season ending injuries for a number of players.

but I don't have a dog in this fight...

both Brady and Rodgers don't like them...
but they are not threatening to not honor the NFL's mandate on these helmets...

I think these very well paid athletes are working the system a little too hard...
they seem to want to hold everyone hostage...

The NFL preseason is absolutely brutal to watch. The Rams didn't play any starters and most didn't even dress for the game. How they get folks to attend is a mystery.
 
I watched the 49ers Cowboys game with my son last night. The game wasn’t bad although Jimmy G and Bosa (injury) didn’t play. The funniest moment of the night took place when Garrett threw a challenge flag and was smiling about doing it; it may have been a smile of embarrassment.

Brad...I saw that...he knew it wasn't gonna be overturned...I think he just wanted to see how the new system worked...they better figure something out with Zeke...the running game was pretty anemic...

nobody has won more games than him except Mr. Brady...
and he's not making that much...
 
Antonio Brown lost his grievance and can't wear the helmet he wants. He says he will be at practice soon. So much for quitting if he didn't get his way.

Update (6:25 p.m. ET): ESPN’s Chris Mortensen and Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk both disputed Slater’s report, saying Prescott has not asked for $40 million annually.

The way the world works nowadays is that Prescott's agent will say Dak didn't ask for $40 mil, he asked for $39.9 mil.

As a season ticket holder, you are required to buy tickets for the two preseason home games.

At full price.

It is by far the biggest scam in all of professional sports.

Full price is the killer on that one. You should pay for what you are seeing, over-hyped practice sessions.

How about this; NFL teams should GIVE those tickets away free to youth groups, big sister/big brother, town youth organizations, etc, etc, let a kid see a game, what does he care if most of the guys running around out there will be asking them if they want fries with that in two weeks.

The stands would be full, the concession stands would be packed, everyone wins.

Nope, just stick it to your loyal season ticket base instead.
