N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (3 Viewers)

Good for them, let someone else take my place, I'm out.

You'll be back. You're a long time fan. I started watching football in 1972. Growing up in the 70s football was everything. All of the great teams back then, NFL films highlight shows every week, Monday Night Football. Football is in my blood. There's no way I could stop watching. People like Brown and Odell Beckham do make it difficult to watch. The NFL better watch out because if clowns like Brown and Beckam become the culture of the league, more and more fans are going to be turned off.Beckham wearing a $250,000 watch during a game is pure nonsense. You can't let these clowns run the league. 100th anniversary of the league and all the attention is on Brown's wackiness. Imagine people like George Halas seeing the league today.

my bookie dropped off my sheet today...
NE is a 19 point favorite...
traveling on the road...
against Buffalo this week...
I have bet on NE pretty much weekly for the last couple of years...
they have been good to me...
they cover the spread more often than not...
but that's a lot of points!
almost 3 TD's...

Brad...thank you...it is Miami...I knew it was one of those AFC East teams that George calls "tomato cans"...

The Jets seem to be cursed. They somehow lost to Buffalo and now Darnold has mono. He may miss three games. Good grief.

You know what; I'm with Tom.

Four years ago (wow, time flies) I had to listen to weeks/months of nonsense about deflated ****ing footballs, the ideal gas law, lawsuits, Brady getting suspended for being generally aware something happened to the footballs, court cases,, suspensions, suspensions overruled, suspension back on...……………

Then all the Kraft nonsense, "Mr 59.00" (wow, what wit...…………), rub and tugs, law suits, losing ownership of the team as a result, blah, blah, blah.

Now this ****ing crap; he said/she said, civil law suit, cash grab, three incidents over two years, she'll cooperate with the NFL, but she's getting married this weekend, the NFL investigating and handing out their own measure of justice.

All of this bullshit on the anniversary of 9/11...………………………

I can't take this crap anymore, rooting for despicable human beings that were it not their ability to throw, catch, run, tackle and block would be asking me if I want fries with that.

My best friends son here in Taunton is the starting center on the HS football team, I usually get to two or three of his games.

I'm going to buy season tickets today...…………….adios you criminals, thugs, *******s, you all deserve each other.

Bravo George very well said!!!

Yep, that was where I was 2 years ago- I catch two games a year- Dallas and the Giants as my son and I have a good time together. Otherwise, it has all become a circus. I don't know if it's even repairable anymore. My daughter just left to college a couple weeks ago and will be playing 3rd base. My son just made an All American team for baseball for the class of 2024. People are taken aback at times when I tell them the amount of money I spend on watching my kids play, taking them to Florida a couple times a year for this or that showcase- truth is, I probably spend far far less than a lot of these folks do at pro games and I am watching my own flesh and blood. Ill still watch College football but the NFL is just not there anymore.

Agreed; it's difficult to root for a team while holding my nose, even more difficult to eat/drink adult beverages while doing it.

Best of luck to your children, I wish them much success...…………………..I'll be watching the Taunton High School varsity game tomorrow night...……………..

as much as I dislike AB...

I don't think the NFL has the right to put him on the exempt list at this point...
not over a civil suit that hasn't been tried yet...
and I don't think her deposition that is coming up with the NFL will make any difference in that...
as there are no criminal charges...
no police report...
and it's basically a "he said...she said" argument right now...
he's innocent til proven guilty...

the only way they might consider making a ruling for exemption...
is if Goodell asks AB point blank...
did you send that text...
admitting a non consensual sex act she was unaware of...
and on that...if he answers yes...
they might suspend him...

other than that...
I think he will be allowed to play until the court decides what the truth is...

The text sinks him and he has not denied it. In my opinion that is game over right there. As far as I am concerned, anyone who would send that text is unemployable.

the public court of opinion agrees with you on that one...

Helmet manufacturer Xenith has decided to drop Brown...
following the emergence of a sexual assault lawsuit against the Pro Bowl wide receiver...

the article refers to this as the highest-profile helmet deal in football history...
I bet it was worth millions...

Well, after the Pats come to their senses and cut him, and no one in the NFL will touch him, there's always Burger King...'Hold the pickles, hold the lettuce, special orders don't upset us'...except for AB, who will no doubt screw up enough Whoppers to get himself fired.:rolleyes2: -- Al

can anyone explain to me how much money he has left on the table jumping around...

what he voided with Pittsburgh to go to LA...
then how much he voided with LA to go to NE...
it seems like he is losing money every time he trades teams...

the man had a 4 year 70 million dollar contract in 2017 with Pittsburgh...

now he has a contract for one year with NE that could be worth up to 15 million...
that's with incentives...

not to mention losing the helmet endorsement...
or the fact that he will probably never get another endorsement in his life...

it seems like he is going backwards on his income every time he flips teams...

is it his agents fault or his?

from reading his texts to Miss Taylor...
I knew he was no Shakespeare...
but when it comes to math...
he doesn't seem like Einstein either...

Tom...
don't know if you have heard this...
but this sounds bad...

Ms. Taylor has taken a polygraph examination. It was conducted by one of the nation’s leading examiners, who previously led the FBI’s polygraph program. Ms. Taylor had to relive the trauma of these events through this examination. The polygraph examination confirmed her completely truthful account that, in June 2017, Brown ejaculated on her without her consent and that, in May 2018, that Brown raped her,” her attorneys wrote.

I figured there was a number of smoking guns out there. The texts were the iceberg and the fact that he has quietly been trying to settle it speaks volumes, also the fact that he has not denied sending the texts. As I said, somewhere along the way he drank his own Koolaid and went cuckoo for coca puffs! He seems like the power went to his head.

As to your other question, yes he has left a lot of money on the table all due to his own misguided ego and sense of self worth. On top of that , at best he looks like a complete cad, at worst he is a rapist.

IN MY opinion, the Patriots are not looking in a good way right now, they should dump him and the distraction and write it off. IF he is exonerated, then let it quiet down, bring him back and get your money's worth, but right now, I would show him the door.

TD

Wow, she passed a polygraph?

Ok then.

The Patriots should immediately cut him, don't let him get on the plane for Miami after this stunning development and the NFL shouldn't even bother to investigate, her passing a polygraph makes her story 1000% legit, no need to even discuss it with him, he's gone.

Done, that's it.

I have to give her credit, she hung in there as a trainer for as long as she could; not one, not two, but three separate incidents over two plus years, she really gave him a number of chances, I guess she finally had enough and decided to pursue a civil case against him.

They tried to negotiate a settlement and his representatives said no, so she had no other choice, who can blame her, a civil case it is.

Ok, back to packing for Chicago, but do keep me posted on any further smoking guns or "A HA!!" moments, I'll be checking this thread over the next few days for more developments, this is now my go to spot for all things AB related, makes it very easy to keep up vs the billion other places reporting on this.

Thanks everyone.

hey you're back already...
I knew you couldn't stay away...^&grin

George...
gotta tell me...
what is it you like about this guy?
why are you defending him?
you must be seeing something I don't see...

you think he's a pretty good guy after all his antics?

I wish he would volunteer to do a poly...

I don't like him, he's not my friend, he wears the laundry of the Patriots.

I'm not defending him or his alleged actions.

Like my Dad always used to tell me, there are three versions of every story; her version, his version and somewhere in the middle is the truth.

He told me he'd arrive at a domestic dispute or a bar fight, find the two participants, put one in one corner, ask what happened, put the other in the other corner and ask what happened, then dead center in the middle of the room is where the truth is.

I have no doubt, as in none, as in 0% that the league is either going to put him on the exempt list or suspend him for 4 to 6 games for "conduct detrimental to the league", a league full of felons, thugs, ex and current gang members, murderers, woman and child abusers has a reputation to uphold afterall.

There is no way, no how he plays all year for New England, he'll either be suspended by the league or cut.

Then all the haters can find something else to rant and rave about regarding the Patriots.

All I know is about 20 years ago I got dragged into a law suit that was not of my doing; at first blush, it looked like I was a willing participant, my bank accounts were frozen and my assets seized, I had to go hire an attorney and it took over a year and several court appearances to clear my name, I didn't do a ****ing thing wrong, but my world was turned upside down thanks to some moron who "assumed" I was involved and dragged me into someone elses mess.

Guilty until proven innocent is how the law works based on my experience, I had to jump through all sorts of hoops and spend thousands of dollars to get my *** out of a gigantic sling.

So sorry, I am not going to rush to judgment based on the words or accusations of this woman, I'll let it play out and go from there...…………………..

George...

why are you trying to make this about NE...
that everyone hates NE...
I never said anything about NE...
except that this was a tremendous trio of receivers...

in all the emails we exchanged...
I never said a bad word about NE...

on this thread...go back to my earlier posts...
I made at least 5 post telling my opinion of what a rat AB was...
THAT WAS BEFORE AB WAS EVEN TRADED TO NE...
my opinion hasn't changed...
I don't dislike him any more because you guys picked him up...

you always go back to NE haters...
you think ever body hates NE because of their success...
I'm not hating on NE...

you know I bet money on NE almost every week...
I have told you this before...
which means I root for them every week...

I think the facts on AB are gonna become reality for you soon...
he's a bad load...
