N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (2 Viewers)

The most unsettling aspect of the Antonio Brown saga, to me, is how so many people seem to care, deeply, about what happens to him and his money. I mean, who gives a ****** ****.

I truly don’t understand why anyone, beyond his immediate family and cadre of hanger onners, gives a rats ***.

The guy is not worth expending the amount of energy it took me to type this post.

The POS factor in the NFL, as represented by AB and all the others of his ilk, is one of the main reasons that I care very little about the product that the current NFL offers. I still watch, mainly out of a lifetime of habit, but I no longer am invested in the league in terms of caring about who wins, who losses, or who has assaulted who. The difference in the quality of the game of today compared to last century is simply staggering. -- Al

I actually feel bad for the man, million dollar talent, .05 cent head, he needs time away from football in order to get some serious therapy, he ain't right in the head.

Imagine coming to NE, just keep your mouth shut and your nose to the grindstone and work your butt off to show the world you are a changed man.

Two weeks later, he's out the door.

Anyone who acts like that is in need of therapy.

It's actually pretty sad; as a human being, I feel sorry for him, I pity him, he's a total tire fire.

I guess if you are a Pats' fan you can defend/justify him to a certain point, no evidence, he said she said etc.

But when you post a picture of your accuser's kids on social media and then say they are poor? That is crossing a line in more ways than one.

George...

you can't feel too bad for him...

he put the screws on Pittsburgh...
his quote...
"my way or the highway"...
held them hostage...left them no choice...

shortly after that...
he put the screws on Oakland...
told them he wouldn't play and to trade him...
right before the season starts leaving them hanging without a #1 WR...

just a few days after that...
he put the screws on New England...
he did not disclose his personal transgressions before he signed with them...
lied by not being forthright about the sexual misconduct allegation hanging over his head...
not to mention all the other negative allegations in his social life...

he screwed the pooch every chance he got...

I don't feel bad or sorry for him...
he has made generational money...
he needs to go...people like him make fans hate the NFL...

I think his agent should be culpable in some fashion...
he knew everything...in detail...he's a rat too...

if I was a loyal NE fan like you...
I think I would hate him...

Goodell probably doesn’t have to. I don’t think any team will touch him right now. His trial may not be a criminal one but the court of public opinion has found him guilty.

He will be back. Memories are short. The news cycle will move on to something else. A playoff contender might sign him later this season or he is back next year. I think my Rams are safe since they are stacked at WR. But the Jets, Deadskins, Seattle....

Money, wealth and fame and he flushed it all down the toilet.

Again; he ain't right, he needs a check up from the neck up.

Ok guys, the last time I came into this thread it did not turn out well. I was all excited about an Aussie footy player going over to the 49ers. He did play a few games but he only lasted one season. I don't know what you did to him but he came back and played a few games here and then disappeared from the game. Also managed to get involved in two court cases involving allegations by females. Last heard going to a religious camp of some sort ^&confuse

Anyway I wish to lodge a formal complaint on behalf of all non NFL fans and overseas Treefroggers.

So George I believe you are currently in Chicago for the biggest toy soldier show in the Universe. The only way I know this is because Julie posted a picture of you in your room as part of the Jenkins Treasure Hunt. There seems to be a display behind you but all I can make out is some Streets of Hong Kong buildings.

What about pics of the rest of your room or some banter about Larry your assistant ? Is the bed covered in soldiers ? Ok I can see you are wearing a Newcastle United Football shirt (^&grin) but other than that we are seriously lacking in information about what is going on.

Apart from Julie's thread the only news we have had is from Normandy44 who lifted two pictures from a FB page.

Now the NFL thread goes for months but Chicago is but once a year. In the last 12 hours you have posted 3 x about some Patriots guy the rest of the world has never heard of. So focus on the game in hand and how about some pics or gossip from the show?

Ok that may seem harsh on George so other Treefroggers also need to step up to the plate. We need some pics of Andy's room and Julie's room etc.

This is after all the "Super Bowl" of Toy Soldiers !

Thanks.:salute::

AB is a free agent right now...he can't be put on the commissioner's exempt list because he is not on a team at the moment...

NE is lucky...if he had been put on the exempt list...while still on their roster...then he would have sat on the sidelines and NE would have to pay him...so they got off lucky by releasing him before a decision was made...

I can't see any team signing him with the possibility that once he is signed...the commissioner will put him on the exempt list and they will have to pay him while he sits on their sideline...

dead money...

cannot comprehend how Dallas is a 23 point favorite...
this makes no sense...

Michael Gallup...their best rated starting receiver this year is out for 2-4 weeks..
Tyron Crawford DE...their starting RDE is out for for 2-4 weeks...
Antuan Woods DT...their starting RDT is out for 2-4 weeks...
Xavier Woods S...their starting Safety is out...
Noah Brown WR...is out...
Tavon Austin WR...is out...

4 starters are out for this game...
3 wide receivers are out...
this line is way out of order...
forget the line...
I hope they just win the game...

The one team who could sign him is Miami. They can offer him the league minimum for this year (a year where is likely to be suspended) and big money for next season when they have their new QB. They wouldn't want him to play this year anyway as it might mess up their plans to tank. But they would love to have him around next year to take the pressure off of a rookie QB.

He says he quit the NFL. Yeah, right. His agent needs to counsel him. He could also use a PR firm to help him rehab his image.

can't imagine any reputable PR firm would touch him...

I think his agent is as big a crook as he is...

until all legal matters are settled...he's a walking plague...nobody will touch him...

My Rams are 3-0 but they could just as easily be 0-3. Their D is playing great but Goff has been inconsistent and Gurley is not himself. Kupp's return has been huge. He is carrying this team on offense. The game management last night was atrocious. I can never understand running the hurry up, no huddle offense when you are up late in the 4th quarter. Snapping the ball with over 20 seconds on the play clock and throwing deep on third and one. Fortunately, the Browns were even worse with a ton of penalties. The Browns are poorly coached and overhyped. A real mess.

AB will be welcomed by Canadian Prime Minister J. Trudeau to play in the CFL as his latest scandal needs some emergency repair work with elections just around the corner.

Every other NFL can forget it this year.

The Patriots' defense has still not allowed a touchdown. They're the first defense in the Super Bowl era not to allow a touchdown in their first three seasons. New England has given up two touchdowns, one on special teams and one a pick-six.

that is pretty amazing...I don't care what teams you play...that is special when your defense contributes that...

Didn't they go 16-0 one year and still lose the SB? It's a long season. The Bills and 49ers are 3-0 but they might not make the playoffs.

Too true. Any team with a defense that can actually play defense, ie., prevent the other team from scoring, has a HUGE advantage in the Pin-Ball NFL of today. -- Al
