N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (1 Viewer)

Jason...

aaaaaaah...you noticed that too huh?...^&grin

Dallas fans have really gone a little overboard with Moore (new offensive coordinator) winning two games to start the season...they didn't beat 2 great teams to post that fast start...so now...Moore is the messiah leading us to the promised land...maybe he is...maybe not...time will tell...

I'll admit...Linehan's offense was both pedestrian and predictable...I'm glad they finally fired him...they never threw the ball deep and now that Dak has a few speedy receivers...Moore is going more in that direction...it seems to be the future of the NFL offenses...throw the ball...more than Elliott to the right...Elliott to the left...Elliott up the middle...and it's been paying dividends...the stats are good...Zeke before carrying the ball 40 times a game...against a stacked 7-8 man box...no wonder he wanted to renew early on his contract...his life span will be short...

the funniest one is how split they are on Garrett...I think he's okay...most Dallas fans blame him for everything...I don't...he just seems like the easiest target I think...he was mediocre for years...a couple of good seasons...Garrett is now 34-16 since Dak is starting...which is pretty good...he's won the division twice...with no #1 receivers til recently...now they have Randall Cobb...Michael Gallup and Amari Cooper...Moore is really opening up the offense...

I think Dak is way under rated...with a healthy O-line back and some receivers that can get separation...hopefully they will win the division this year...and maybe a playoff game...when you've been losing as much as I have the last 2 decades...that is a lofty wishful thinking "I would be happy" goal...

Dallas is getting a big break in week 4...Dallas at New Orleans...I had that marked a loser til Brees got hurt...way more winnable now...

I think all fans are like that though...the love/hate relationship with the coach...you know..."what have you done for me lately" yardstick... it seems like the coach is the easiest target when things go bad...but maybe not always his fault...

one of the biggest issues among Garrett's long tenure...is that Jerry Jones develops these father/son relationships with the players and coaches...he doesn't want to fire them...Steven Jones has taken a much bigger role in the team lately...he seems more stable...Jerry is more of a mouthy figurehead now...

A former NFL player is accused of destroying his business to make it look like a hate crime burglary...

Edwan Coughman has been arrested...
for allegedly trying to stage a Jussie Smollett (Empire on Fox) style hate crime...
for insurance claims on his own business......

the story is funny...
the police found a crowbar and black spray paint in his car...
some of the tv's from his business walls in the trunk of his car...
with the mounting brackets and torn sheet rock still attached...

he played on 8 different NFL teams...
and now...
another broke NFL rock star...
how do you squander all that money away?
what a boofus...

Does he collect Toy soldiers could explain it

Breaking news on AB; there is now a story that when he was seven, he did a trade with a kid, two Tonka trucks for a G.I. Joe, but AB never gave the kid the trucks...……...www.ABtookGIJoe...……………...the NFL wants to interview the kid to get his story, so stay tuned...……...

I read that when he took the trucks, he told the kid keep on trucking, but that’s only an allegation :wink2:

Mike:

When I am home in Texas I am amazed how after a loss their is endless talk of firing the staff from the head coach to the coordinators. Then when they win next week the coaching staff is the greatest assembly of football minds since Vince Lombardi.

Texas football fans are unique to say the least.

No they're not. That's exactly what Eagles fans-and Philadelphia sportswriters-do. Win one game-"Welcome to Wentzylvania! We're going to the Super Bowl!" Lose one game-"Jeff Lurie sucks! Doug Peterson sucks! Carson Wentz sucks! Everybody sucks! We're going down the airport an' boo take-offs and landings!"

Prost!
Brad

Brad...
all fans are the same...
love a winner...
hate a loser...
they gotta blame it on someone...
it's that "what have you done for me lately?" mentality...

if that's all he did to that kid...that kid was lucky...

Did you see the report that his alleged victim was at his house/apartment/condo two days after the alleged third incident?

Probably not as the news is only reporting all the bad things he's done.

Two days later, she returned to the scene of the alleged crime.

If he goes on the exempt list over a civil case, all of the players are in deep trouble...………………...no criminal case, no criminal charges, no police report after the first, second and third alleged incident...…………….nothing.

Nada.

zip.

She wanted 2 million dollars to make this go away, he said no.

So would I.

AB and his agent have been negotiating a settlement since April with miss Taylor...
that's 6 months they have been talking about this...
that's a long time to discuss this if I'm innocent...
why would he have more than 1 meeting if he had nothing to worry about...
if it were me...and I was innocent...
I would have said...get lost...sue me...I'll see you in court...right after the first meeting...
but he didn't...
why would he even entertain the idea of settling more than 1 minute if he was innocent?

make sense?

It’s not a question of guilt or innocence but of liability; it’s a civil, not a criminal case. As far as negotiations taking this long, I wouldn’t consider that unusual. One side formulates a proposal, it then has to be revised and so forth and then presented to the client and perhaps revised some more and then it goes to the other side, where it’s discussed, etc. and then a counter proposal is prepared and so forth. It can go on for a long time, sometimes endless, speaking from experience.

Yeah well if I'm her, I go strait to the police, no civil case, no settlement, no nothing.

And after the first alleged incident, I'd break all ties...………..if it progressed to the third incident, I go strait to the police, no civil case, no settlement, no nothing.

I don't make a civil case out of a criminal case.

Period.

Done.

End of story.

It’s entirely possible she did and prosecutors evaluated it and decided that they wouldn’t prosecute because they wouldn’t be able to obtain a conviction.

agreed...
it's basically a "he said...she said" allegation...
there is not enough proof for a criminal charge...

which is why I assume she filed a civil suit...
which means let the jury/judge decide...

his texts and past history have not helped his cause in the public opinion...

Marquise Brown....AB's cousin...was supposed to be her witness to these allegations...
I have not heard about him being deposed by the NFL...
I just can't see AB's cousin give ****ing testimony against him...^&grin

he may be found not guilty...
but where I didn't like him before...
his funky texts put the icing on the cake...
coupled with all the bad press recently released...
the man is a despicable human being...

I finally read the texts, they are brutal.

this is kind of weird...
especially just after only week 2...
they sound really beat up...

Eagles' injury plague leads to canceled practice...

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/27644149/eagles-injury-plague-leads-canceled-practice

Mike:

You have been following football for as long as I have (if not longer). I can't remember a season that started with so many QB injuries.

4 quarterbacks that have played in Super Bowls, Brees, Foles, Newton and Roethlisberger are all injured. Not to mention Darnold is out with mono. That is close to 1/6th of the starting QB's injured and not playing before week 3 even starts.

-Jason

okay...
well...
that is true...
but...it's not bad news for AB...

The NFL already confirmed that the laws of science don't matter regarding Deflategate and the Ideal gas law, so why should the laws of justice?

Nothing yet today and with today being the biggest day of practice to prep for the weekend opponent, who knows where he stands at this point.
