N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (1 Viewer)

I see that Cam Newton has been named the starter and team captain in New England.

If they win the Super Bowl then all debates about who the greatest coach in NFL history will be over.

However, according to the NFL network it is irrelevant. Mahomes and that fraud Andy Reid are going to win the next 8 to 10 Super Bowls....

Last year was the perfect storm for the Chefs; backed into the 2nd seed when spinach chin and the Doofins came here on the last game of the season and beat the Patriots, then thanks to the Tuxedos pulling off the upset, got the Texans instead of New England in round 2, were down by a million points vs the Texans, but their coach pissed down his leg, then the Ravens also pissed down their leg and lost, setting up the AFCCG at home...........and they got all the calls in the SB.

Like I said, the perfect storm...........................

Was looking at a NFL predictions website and forgot that this year, they are going to 3 wild card teams for a total of 7 playoff teams in each conference and instead of the the first two teams in each conference getting a bye, only one does.

Not sure I like that as more often than not, the second wild card team is usually a pretty mediocre team, now they're adding another wildcard team to further water things down...........................look for a couple of 9-7, 8-8 teams now getting in..................

I just can't imagine Cam ever leading any team to a SB win, not after seeing him run from a fumble like he did. That and his incessant crying about being hit all the time.....in today's NFL!! Really??

Joe

PS Bill B best coach ever/no debate

Joe:

Cam shrinking away from that fumble was embarrassing. For a second or 2 I thought the ball was a grenade.

Personally I love that Cam is my QB, I'm very excited to see what he can do, he can make plays with his arm and his feet, now I get to see someone run the RPO vs moving like a glacier back there and being a statue; the NFL is changing, RPO is the wave of the future a number of teams run it and am curious to see it......................I like the guy period, larger than life personality, when he does a press conference, it's not boring answers and dry white toast.

Good for Cam, best of luck to you........................

I think we will also see a Cam that stays in the pocket more. The one thing the Patriots have had year after year is a top offensive line. In my opinion it has been one of their over-looked keys to success over the years. Cam simply won’t have to run, he can now use his powerful arm tp pick defenses apart.

The offensive is going to look totally different with Cam that it did the past 20 or so years; RPO, WR's and TE's in the backfield like the Chefs and 49ers do, one advantage they have going into the season is there is no preseason tape for teams to view, the Doofins will be blind to what the Patriots roll out on Sunday......................

Hard to believe the season is starting tonight. I will skip the tedious pregame political nonsense, but looking forward to some football.

Weird times. Per ESPN: Today is the first day EVER that the NFL, MLB, NBA, WNBA, MLS and NHL will all play on the same day.

16,000 drunks doing the tomahawk chop on top of each other; can you say super spreader?

Just nuts.

Every team in the NFL (except the Chiefs) should watch out for the Dolphins. According to ESPN, the NFL Network and most experts on TV, Tua Tagovailoa is the greatest QB (except for Patrick Mahomes) in the NFL.

There was a game on last night? Must have missed it. I did read this morning there was a lot of booing prior to the coin toss.

FYI - got an email from DirecTV that the NFL was gifting a full Sunday Ticket to all current subscribers so that you will not miss any out of market games. Guess they are already worried about their ratings and that people might not watch. Interesting to say the least.

Looking forward to the Rams-Cowboys this weekend. A classic matchup in the new stadium with new unis for the Rams. Hopefully they are not as ugly as they appeared when revealed this summer. I'm not sure if they are allowing fans, but the stadium should be a sight to behold. A long time coming for LA.

I wouldn’t watch two seconds of the NFL if my life depended on it. See ya.

Heard on the radio this morning, haven't watched an nfl game in 3 years, that when the public address announcer called for a moment of silence for "social injustice" the crowd booed. PERFECT.

Nothing sums up California more than 2 teams debuting a $5 billion dollar stadium void of any fans.

if they has thought it out better California should have built their new stadium in Texas where the Californians are growing in numbers{sm4}

At least I got in early on that one, 10+ years ago. Besides, I still spend sometime in California, albeit I spend most of that time waiting to get back to Texas.

California football fans can’t compete with Texas football fans. As the COVID-19 infection rate in Texas slowed Texas allowed for fans at outdoor football stadiums and venues. The only problem was that the Cowboys stadium has a retractable roof thus making it an indoor arena according to Texas law. The state legislature was ready to call a special session to change the definition of outdoor venue. Meanwhile, I think that it is illegal to even go outside in California.

You got the best of both places. You must be one of the smarter Californians ^&grin
