Brian...those really are attractive figures...great action poses that you should get a lot of use out of...very nice acquisition.

Thanks Brian for the update and photos from your end and nice to know they're available.

Very nice indeed Brian, looks like Christmas has begun early at your house :D How do these compare with the Britains matte Zulu range?

I was shocked mutiple orders aririved at once the CS Carbineers and Panther were ordered at the OTSN, it was like Christmas many presents and credit card sticker shock. Although I am not complaining.

I had fun opening the packages.:D

Isn't it a lot of fun Brian when so many "neat" things arrive at your doorstep. Great looking mounted figures - have fun playing with them.
Mike

Brian,
I see you got all four of the Natal Carbineers. Nice to see you playing with them and the tank so soon after their arrival. What's next from CS?

I will see what I can find at the Toy Soldiers show at Cantigny Park tomorrow.:D

Although the Tiger from CS looks good.

Received my Carbineers from the Hobby Bunker which I order yesterday and didn't expect them until later during the week an was surprised with the Medidum Brown Truck driver arrived at my door. Overall Brian I'm very pleased with them although the mounted figures are closer to 1/60mm vs Britian's 1/56mm but they do blend in well with them (photos posted over on the WBritain section of the forum). I'd wish Brian that the sets had come in two parts with the figure un attached to their horses that way we could have changed mounts with the figures. Here's some quick photos of them caught on the field of Isandlwana.

Thanks for scooby kudo snacks, we will try our best to ensure the next mounted sets come detached from the horses most certainly, great pics!

I am torn between these. They do look nice, I guess I would need to see them in the flesh. There are a couple of minor things that put me off.

Scott,

I think you would really like these. What are your concerns on these figures?

Probably not all that major but

1. The bridle is incomplete on the officer (no browband on the white horse)
2. The reins are black but the rest of the tack is brown
3. The shields on the bases are broken up (to me it doesn't look right, the shield are cowhide and I don't think would be ripped in half)
4. The horses appear to have very large behinds and the legs seem somewhat deformed.

That said I do like them I just don't know if I love them enough to have them in my collection.
