Been watching both the past couple of weeks, what a difference NHL vs NBA playoffs. the NHL playoffs go to another level, very exciting and action packed, the NBA is, well, the NBA.

Watched the Celtics gag away game 1 vs King James and the Cadavers last night; is there a bigger crybaby in the league than King James? Everytime and I mean EVERYTIME this guy drives to the basket, he either draws a foul or falls dead on the floor. What a drama queen, always grabbing something, checking to make sure both his eyes are still there, holding his face, etc, etc, talk about annoying.

Last night was their chance, up by 11 and they blew it, the Celtics are just too old period; looks like Cadavers/Magic in the East finals again unless the Hawks beat the Magic.........................

Watched the OT period with the Bruins & Flyers Saturday and that was my thought exactly.
The NHL players kick it up several notches, you can just feel their desperation out on the ice.
Having played hockey for 30 years I know how physically exhausted that sport can make you.
Stopped following the NBA back in 1966 when the Hawks left for Atlanta,
although I was a fan during the Hawks, Celtics rivalry of the 50's.

I can't watch the NBA. It doesn't even resemble basketball, and I agree with George, the big stars are all crybabies begging for (and 9 times out of 10 getting) a foul called every time they miss a shot. For me, once the present commissioner started changing the rules to make it easier for Jordan to dominate the league, the NBA was dead. I literally haven't watched a minute of an NBA game in 10 years.

NBA has been DOA since Magic and Byrd left. It is a bad joke on professional sports. The NHL is fast and exciting but the "king chokers", aka. the Wash. Caps, just leave me shaking my head, year after year, and have prevented any emotional investment. The last NHL club I cared about had players named Hull and Mikita. -- Al

Never was a basketball fan. I love hockey though. I was sad when the Seals left Oakland and real happy when the Sharks came along. So far the Sharks are playing pretty good.

The California Golden Seals, I remember they wore the white skates, were they owned by Charlie Finley by any chance as they wore the same colors as the Oakland A's and the A's were the first team to wear white cleats.........I'll be watching the Bruins tonight, may check in with the Celtics once and awhile to check the score.

And the Red Sox on May 3rd are officially toast; you know you've hit rock bottom when you get swept by the 4-18 (oh wait, now 7-18) AAA Orioles...................

Charley did buy the Seals in 1970. That is the year that the Seals switched to Green and Gold to match the A's. The white skates came after the green and gold skates.

It was a great game. The Hawks are my second favorite team. I am hoping for a Sharks-Blackhawks series. It should be very entertaining.

The Celts-Cavs series should be interesting. I wouldn't count the Celts out at this point. They are gutsy and experienced at this level. The Cavs might choke up if it goes six or seven games as it probably will. A Lakers vs Celts or Cavs series would be great. Kobe vs Shaq and James or a traditional Lakers and Celts series would be fantastic. Anything else will be a big yawn.

The Cavs are choking big time. The Magic and Suns may spoil the party anyway. Both are playing well. I'm still hoping for Lakers-Celtics.

I took the city of Boston less than 24 hours to go from the top of the mountain (beating king James and the cadavors) to the bottom of the valley (blowing a 3-0 series and 3-0 lead in game 7 to the @#$%ing Flyers, the one team I hate more than any other in professional sports, even the Yankees).

What a sports nightmare; could have had home ice in the conference finals, I cannot and will not pull for the Canadiens, just can't do it.............

Well George good thing your not a betting man, looks like your ol' worn out Celtics are to shabby after all, I'm pulling for the Celts to win it all, maybe next year for the king James:):)...Sammy

This Celtics team reminds me of the 1969 version, 48-34 during the regular season, fourth place finish and they steamrolled their way to the championship.

Should they win this series vs the Magic (sorry, even up 3-0 isn't a sure thing as the Bruins found out), it will be an interesting series vs the Lakers.

The only downside is having to see Gasols mug for possibly seven games, he makes my skin crawl, a face only a mother could love....................

Ohhhhhhhhh...gimme a break George...:p...

what about this group...

the cover of GQ or the FBI most wanted...:D

The jury is still out on whether Rajon plucks his eyebrows and wears make up during the game...I swear...he reminds me of the crossdressers on Bourbon Street...

The Lakers up 2-0 and the Celts up 3-0. Never would have guessed they would be 5-0 against two hot teams. I still think the Lakers go six. Then the fun starts. I think Kobe brings it home this year against Boston. Fisher, Gasol, Bynum and Odom are all healthy and playing well.

I agree, Lakers are hungy, Kobe's first goal is to avenge the Suns, this could still be a barn burner, the Suns have yet to awaken.

Celts are on a roll, wow, talk about playing well when it matters! Kobe is motivated there too if lucky enough to get to the finals, the Lakers feel like the owe the Celts. The other series, the Lakers got stunned 2 years ago, Boston took it to them.

S/b interesting. No offense to King James fans, but kind of nice seeing the pompous one sitting on the sidelines.

Flyers versus the Blackhawks, Stanley Cup returns to Chicago for the first time since 1961?
