"Birdman" Andersen of the Denver Nuggets makes me want to switch from HD back to analog TV:

untitled.jpg

He is kind of "bright", but I love his enthusiasm.:D:D:D

Have to give you all the credit in the world Mike on the Denver/Lakers series, the Nuggets are for real and in all actuality, should be up 2 zip in this series.

Why is it every team Chancy Billups goes to improves; the Cetlics blew it big time by giving up on him when they did...........

Oooooooooooooooooooh!!!!!!

Orlando just shocked them with Turkoglu's shot in the paint.

Cavs lost two at home, what an upset.

A MAJOR UPSET!!!!!

But wait~~~~~~~~~~~~~~here comes Lebron, lol.

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

UNREAL SHOT!

The Cadavers blew a 23 point lead and should be down 0-2 if not for a miracle shot by King James.

And it's crystal clear to me the NBA wants to see a Lakers/Cadavers final. When the score was 68-61, King James drove down the lane and looked more like another Cleveland legend, Jim Brown; he literally cradled the ball like a running back and took AT LEAST THREE steps, got fouled (I've see the replay 9 million times thanks to sports center, still trying to see the actual foul), made the bucket and the free throw.

What a joke.

Those kind of non-calls and the NBA attitude of "no star fouls out" in the big game is why the NBA is a joke, IMO. NBA "basketball" does not hold a candle to college basketball. The NBA should just eliminate the regular season and go straight to the 6 month playoff schedule it now has. -- lancer

I used to be a season ticket holder, but I stopped watching basketball around 1990 (literally have not watched a single game, even on TV) once the league changed the rules to make it easier on Jordon, and the officials (I am sure as a league policy) started calling fouls every time a big star missed a shot. The NBA is a bad joke.

Couldn't agree more Al and Louis, the sport is a joke IMO. James CARRIED the ball for AT LEAST three steps. Should this series come down to a seventh game and the Cadavers win, you can thank the refs for that non call of traveling which would have had the Cadavers down by 5 at the end of game 2, not 2 setting up that miracle heave.

Not to metion the joke of a policy they have regarding their draft lottery. They basically say by doing this that bad teams are purposely tanking games to get the #1 pick, so they set up this joke of a lottery that produces such results as this year, where clearly the worst team goes from picking 1st to what, fourth?

What a scam.

The NBA hasn't been worth a look since Bird and Johnson retired and it hasn't had me as a fan since the glory days of Chamberlain, THE Celtics, West, Baylor, Bing, Big O, etc. Crap, got stuck in the way-back machine again...:D -- lancer

Heck of a game tonight.

I'm a Laker's fan, and this may sound biased, but I don't feel like they are getting the calls.

Instead of getting the fouls, it seems like they are getting "make up" calls on the next possession.

Regardless, I'm glad they got home court back, and hope they may be playing Orlando, if the Magic sweep at home now.

Kobe, with 41, was strong tonight, especially in the 4th quarter

It doesn't get much better than the first four games of the conference finals. The best athletes in the world going at it for 48 minutes. But I guess it helped when David Stern remote contolled the ball into the hoop on that last shot to set up the Cavs in the finals. ;) Many calls in basketball are subjective. If you are rooting for a particular team it always seems like the wrong call. The Lakers didn't get many breaks from the refs. The Lakers worked their *** off to win game 3. One call doesn't make a game. No one gave Orlando a chance in Cleveland, but they win the first game and it takes a miracle shot for the Cavs to win game 2. That doesn't sound like much of a conspiracy by the NBA.

Remote control? That explains how that shot got in then, the mystery is over.

I agree 99% of NBA calls are indeed sujective; I have no rooting interest in any of the four remaining teams, but when a walk that Ray Charles saw does not get called AND a foul gets called on Howard to boot, it has to make you wonder.......................

Ok,
so, the Lakers, in my opinion are now under achieving, under performing, etc. They have got themselves in another dog fight and if they continue this trend, they do not deserve to be in the finals. As the saying goes, looks great on paper, looked great all year, but talk about not executing. And, giving the Nuggets credit, they are playing their hearts out and capitalizing on the "Lethargic Lakers", my new nickname. Again, I am the first to call it like it is on my team, you can't sleep your way into the finals, if you don't deserve it and work for it, I hope they enjoy their off season golfing....

Orlando should wrap it up in 6 at home,

would be a big upset knocking out the Cavs.

All the Lakers need to do is win out at home,

which they should.

Poor Lebron (scoring 44 in a loss), poor Kobe (pushed, tripped, slapped all around while his team mates sleep walk through the game),

they are fighting with butter knives as weapons for team mates.

Moe did get 18 last night but it was on 5 of 15 form 33%.

Ilgauskas has just dissappeared again.

Fisher should be benched for Sasha and Odoms needs a to wake up and be more active.

Lakers should dominate tonight.

It's a must win, being at home.

What a great game that was last night, the refs did all they could to keep the Cadavers in the game, calling a foul with .06 seconds left in regulation.

The Magic live and die off of the 3 point shot, how do you blow an 8 point lead and end up in overtime?

The Cadavers looked past the Magic; they were all geared up to demolish the Celtics after last years 7 game Eastern Conference semi final loss and when the Magic beat the Celtics, the Cavaders were already looking to the finals.

They still have a shot, but were it not for a miracle heave by King James, this series would already be over.

Incredible.

The Lakers are -6 tonight,

I think they will come out, play seriously and cover.

At least that's where my $$$$ will lie tonight.

HUGE game for the Lakers tonight. It may define the Kobe Bryant era. I think we will find out if Kobe is going down as Elgin Baylor (great player but can't carry a team) or Michael Jordan (one man show to the title). My guess is the Lakers win, but Denver runs hot and cold. They can score points on the Lakers. Fisher, Odom, Bynum, or someone needs to play a decent game. Can't see the loser of this game winning out.

Well Doug,

It wasn't Kobe tonight, but they managed to win and cover.

Odoms with 19 points and 14 rebounds off the bench was huge.

14 rebounds in 32 minutes, I wish Gasol would do that.

Glad to see Fisher's time reduced even though he finally heated up some.

I have trouble understanding how Bynum at 7 foot tall isn't more productive.

How can he only get 2 rebounds in 19 minutes????

and,

then go 4 for 9 when every shot he takes is in the paint,

heck,

not in the paint,

right under the basket.

They need to teach him how to dunk when close.

Honestly, in league stat comparison on centers, he's hardly in last place, but it just seems like he could be a lot more dominant to me.

Denver has their backs against the wall now, win or go home.

Cavs do too, but I expect them to come out really strong Thursday.

Cavs -7 1/2 Thursday. I like the Cavs in a must win, but that's a lot of points.

Any input anybody?

The Cavs should win big. It would be a major choke job to go out 4-1 at home against a not so great Orlando team. The Lakers seem to play better in must win situations. Living dangerous but so far so good. If anyone steps up - even a guy like Sasha who has been god awful - the waters are going to part. If they get Orlando, they should be favored to win it all. Denver is still a dangerous team, but they are inexperienced at this level and have dropped a couple of close games. That might break their confidence. They looked tight in the 4th quarter last night as though they didn't expect to win. First time in the series that has happened.

Did you know,

that as soon as the playoff schedules were announced in Las Vegas a few weeks ago,

even though the Cavs had the best overall record in the NBA,

and

even though the playoff format had the Cavs hosting home team advantage for whoever they played,

THAT THE LAKERS WERE STILL THE LAS VEGAS FAVORITE TO WIN IT ALL.

Before the first playoff tip off,

the Lakers have been the favorite with the Las Vegas odds makers to win it all.

The odds have since changed,

and I can no longer prove this,

because the Lakers are even a larger favorite now due to the games already played,

but,

before the first playoff tip off,

the Lakers were the favorite to win it all.

That means that even if it ended up Lakers/Cavs in the finals,

and the Cavs would have hosted 4 playoff games to the Lakers,

THE LAKERS WERE STILL A SMALL FAVORITE WITH THE BOOKIES.

FOR REAL:confused::confused::confused:

I didn't agree with it when I saw it, but if you bet propositions on the series,

that was the bet.

Orlando with 7 1/2 points tonight.

That's a lot of points.

I'm pretty sure the Cavs will win, but I'm not so sure they will cover.

How did they get in this position????:confused::confused:
