How many created the big 10? College football is a different world but certain conferences have always had more depth than others. I wish Texas was still in the big 12 but not meant to be in today’s world. That said I would certainly argue the Sec has always been one of the most talented; records and bowl post season history back that up.

my comment was due to the "tomato can", I really don't think there are any in the SEC any given week. I think any home game in the SEC is a recipe for a loss to the visiting team no matter what the records are of each team.

Tell you what; if you knock of the current #3, #5 and #10 ranked teams and get into the playoff, I'll be impressed, how's that.

You call them tomato cans yet they play every team pretty much tough at home. Ole Miss who is arguably one of the best teams out there had a heckuva a time beating OK at home. Texas destroyed OK in all facets of the game, is Oklahoma a tomato can? I guess so by your logic.
Bottom line is I get it you don't like Manning and you don't like Texas. At the end of the day, I take the Al Davis road - the real bottom line is Just Win. It doesn't matter how ugly it is, if you can put it together when it matters, then that is all that matters. I have no idea if Texas will continue to win, I do know that if Manning is not in next week's game, the answer is a definite no.

Agreed but attending class is not enough to simply show up on test days and get an A.
It is what you do outside of class/practice that sets you up for success in college and beyond.

I think you are way overestimating how I feel about Texas; I don't like them, at one point I actually did when Earl Campbell was a longhorn, but that faded quickly, but I don't have this burning hatred for the team, unlike you who has this rager over the Sooners............Texas "destroyed" OU in every facet of the game? We must have watched two different games, they won, but destroyed is rich.
They were ranked preseason #1 and are beating also rans in OT to keep their march to the playoffs alive, more like a Bataan Death March or retreat from Moscow. If they deserve that ranking, they should be steamrolling teams like Kentucky and Mississippi State, not OT wins, one of which was due to a coach on the other sideline who was brain dead, the other after playing like boiled ass for three quarters and then getting every break known to man in the 4th quarter to force OT.
I didn't watch the game, that from a friend of mine who's a UT alum/actually played on the team, he has been down on the team all year and does not view things through Longhorn orange colored glasses.
The Manning family cost the Patriots no less than 4 Super Bowl wins, 2 each for both stooge brother.
Watch their hayseed nephew land in the AFC East and torture the Patriots for a decade or so.

This is an exercise in stupidity to post. Bottom line a win is a win. Hate Manning all you want, the kid is doing and is gonna do alright. I said from the beginning I did not think they were a #1 team. That said if they keep winning they have a good as shot as anyone. And George for the heartache it obviously causes you I hope Manning ends up in the NFC, would hate for you to stroke out over it. Admittedly have never been a strong OU fan, but in the game, Texas held them at bay beat them handedly, stats dont lie. I know it kills every OU fan out there but until you dump Venables dont expect a different outcome. Guy is a dud period.

Just to answer your insult on Sark, what is his record against Venables and OU? ........yup all day everyday and twice on Sunday, I am taking Gomer Pyle, the stooge. Maybe Venables can get a gig in the next remake of Tron.
