New ACW Arrivals (1 Viewer)

Yesterday a very large box was delivered to my door containing new ACW and WWI reinforcements. Had a great time last night sorting everything out. This morning I have been setting them up and enjoying photographing them. I'll use this thread to show the ACW arrivals and I'll start a separate thread for the WWI arrivals. I'll be adding new photos throughout the day so stay tuned . . . .

Here are the first two photos showing WB #31192 "Hold This Ground" (Generals Meade, Doubleday and Howard with table and accessories), and also #31206 Federal Signalman with Signal Flag:

Here is a photo of the newly released WB #31195 "114th PA Color Sgt. w/Turban. Very good flag detail on this one:



WB #31211 Union Infantry Charging at the Right Shoulder Shift (figure in center of photo) . . . . I was impressed with the detail on this one, especailly the face.

Thank you Chris . . . . The Meade set is very nicely done and is perfect for the Leister Farmhouse.

Here is a couple of photos of my favorite set that I got yesterday. Its WB #31199 "Hell for Glory" which is based on Keith Rocco's painting by the same title. It depicts Gen Richard Garnett urging the 18 Va of his brigade forward during Pickett's charge at Gettysburg just after they cleared the turnpike fence sections that lined Chambersburg Road upon which they came under grueling musket and grapeshot fire from the Union lines. This seven figure set is marvelously sculpted and displays the way Confederate troops on the attack should look like . . . . stripped down to just the bare fighting essentials truly depicting what was known at the time as the best light infantrymen in the world. :salute:::salute::

You a very funny man . . . . the small red building behind them is a well . . . . the outhouse is the small white structure in the background . . . Glad you like the photo

Why thankyou George, glad you enjoyed the photos so far . . . . the open area in front of the "Hell for Glory" and in between the 114th PA (on the right) and the Union figures in the Devil's Den rocks and boulders (on the left) is where I plan to place the Death of Cushing sets being over run by the Confederates.

Thanks Lo . . . WWI is also a big soft spot for me because I have so much of my Grandfather's, his brother, and my Grandmother's brother's, photos, mementos, and uniform buttons, from WWI. All three of them were in the same unit, Company F, 17th RR Engineers . . . I am working on some photos of my WWI acquistions right now.

Hi Mike , just got my set 31192 in my display cabinet . I really like this set and additional personalities fit in nicely .But my shelf display pales in comparison with your display . Fantastic job as always ! Gives me something to strive for

It would be panoramic for sure Sandor . . . I have often thought that its too bad that there is a LARGE pond separating Bob and ME . . . . Would love to be able to combine forces with him.
