Already spilled out of my room into the dinning room, hallway & landing! But don't worry plenty of room in my new display cabinet should have a years worth of room left to play with before I need a new one ^&cool

Richard, do I have to book a showcase for future Indian War?^&grin^&confuse

Francisco

Maybe just part of a case...but I'd keep the area warm for a little while with some other figures....we'll get there....but not in 2012.

Thanks Francisco

I was wondering whether the master for the British Royal Artillary Gun Team set will be on display at London in March?

Also as this set is 'Team No.1' - does that mean there will be a No.2?

Hi Gazza:

We will probably not have the pre-production ready in time for London. All the other Zulu sets will be there to see however. Will there be a No. 2....excellent question...I'd like there to be...kind of depends on you guys.

Richard

A second team would be nice but perhaps in 2014/2015. There is a lot to cover so no rush for another gun team. I would rather have some lancers or dragoons but not both at the same time and not 10 of each all released together either.

Please think of our budgets :)

I just wanted to say Thank You! for the new Union artillery set -- "Running Up". I've been waiting for a set depicting a crew moving a gun into position for quite some time. And the gun is an ordnance rifle too! That's a nice change from the 12 pounders that the previous Federal crews have been serving.

Is it possible to see another view of the set? I'm curious about how the two men in the rear are holding the gun trail.

I also like the Johnny kneeling and ramming a cartridge. It's a great pose. Will we see more infantry in skirmish order, crouching, kneeling or otherwise taking cover?

Thanks again. The new figures look great.

Check first photo of post #44 of this thread submitted by Ken Osen . . . . . Pic is of the prototype of this gun and crew before the master was painted . . . clearly shows how the gun is being carried by the two crewmen at the rear of it.

Thanks for the tip! I hadn't searched through the entire thread. Guess I've learned my lesson.

Hi Richard

Thanks for responding so swiftly. I guess I will have to wait until June to see it.

It is indeed Craig. I am quite liking this set as well.

Is there any chance of a photo of the right hand side of this figure being posted as I would like to know how the right arm is positioned and if he is holding anything in it.20100LR.jpg

Best regards

Hi Ansar:

Major Smith's right arm was wounded so he is not holding anything in it - there is a gash in the arm.

Best Regards,

Richard

Hi Richard,
Thank you for the information, that's going to be easy to convert then.

Richard,

That is great research, and a good call for adding realism to the figure. Really looking forward to the gun team and the add on sets.

The Zulu War 7 pound Royal Artillery gun with team is exquisite...perhaps as fine a depiction of a dramatic scene I have ever seen. It is well worth the $700 asking price. To be honest it is a steal at that cost. WB has raised the bar across the spectrum with that piece. The ACW Union 3 inch ordnance rifle set is also tremendous. It is an instant collectors piece and will sell out, I'm sure, in short order. Again it is well worth the price for such a timeless piece of art. No doubt a worthy addition to a collection in the curio or available for many a diorama. Most eager to see the various juxtapositions of how to apply that piece into a plausible diodrama. Every time I walk by my curio I see my sole 1st Virginia dismounted cavalry trooper...the WB Collectors Club ACW offering from 2011. Richard: He needs reinforcements. He is standing alone. I would like to think that your team could craft me and others together another four or five troopers ably assisting my lineup of ten mounted 1st Virginia Cavalry troopers that I painstakingly collected five years ago. Are supplemants on the way for this line? Keep up the fantastic work.
