New Conte Zulus (1 Viewer)

The email said several weeks......................before they get back to us with actual prices for sets 1 through 10; if that is the timeframe just to get back to us with prices, figure mid May just for that, then delivery I suspect in late June, early July at the earliest.

Loosely translated means they MIGHT show up in time for OTSN, so MD is safe with his seeing them in person at OTSN plan IMO..................

Gosh, when do you think we'll see the Alamo #8? Pigs already fly, don't they?

Does Conte know this forum exists? It is lots of fun to cap on him for untimely deliveries and promises not kept. It would be more fun to do so if he read this stuff and get a response once and awhile.

Which brings me to my next question. Have you seen how many pages there is of this????

I sure have my Lord General gee now all you have to do is sit back relax and just think of the $$$ you can set aside while awaiting the arrival of the new goodies. I'm sure Richard is aware of what's taking place on this thread. Have fate My Lord General all good things come to those who wait. Britain has provein it and so will Conte. Now please my Lord you've been goofing off lately by not posting photos showing us what you've been playing with please do so....Your Aide De Camp The Current Lt. Colonel:D:D:D:D:D

Mixing Conte with Britains featuring figures from Keith Rocco's Rorke's Drift along with the new Brit's......The Lt.

I concur with all of the above. So it's safe to assume the new Conte will mix with the new WB

Joachim they do blend well with the figures in the first photo I posted for a comparison which I stated are from Conte's Keith Rocco's Rorke's Drift which seem to be 56mm as well. I've set them next to his 54mm plastics for a photo shoot for a comparison and you'll notice the difference between them therefore making your own judgement along with others as to how compatable they are.......The Lt.

Mmm yes I see your point. Ah well, I'll get them both anyway :D
I'm glad your new purchases are keeping you busy. Let the fun continue.

Pardon me if I have this confused, but I thought earlier in this or one of the other Zulu threads it was predicted that the new Contes would fit well with the new WBs and Frontline. Do I have that wrong?

I posted photos in the WBritain Zulu War Thread showing a mixture of figures from Conte, Frontline and WBritain to include in the thread a photo of just Conte's metal figures of Bromhead and Schiess feature with two of the new Britain Zulus. I also posted figures of Conte and the Model Zone figures of Colour-Sergeant Bourne. I also stated that the WBritain Matte figures are 1/32 56mm with their Gloss figures as 1/32 54mm. With the exception of Keith Rocco's Rorke's Drift figures all of the remaining Conte figures shown in the comparison photo are 1/32 54mm. According to RC his new metal figures are scaled to match his earlier plastic figures which are 1/32 54mm. Hope this shed some light......The Lt.

Got it, great summary that I will now save. Thanks for the clarification. again:eek:

I know these figures are not yet in production and photos are just photos, but I must say that I am absolutely stunned by the great looks of this upcoming Conte Zulu war series. Faces, muscles, details, combat scenes, you name it... If the painting catches up to the sculpting, this could very well become the best all time mass produced matte figures, guys! I don't collect Zulu War but I'll certainly be watching these very closely...
Sorry about that Britains, I still love your new gloss...:p

I take it the Keith Roco RD figures are the same 56mm as the WB matte? I noticed that the Conte site (and dealers) list the KRs as backordered yet RC makes no mention of them in his new Zulu discussion. Was there any prior word on their expected availability?

Not that I know or heard of at this time we'll just have to see what RC has in mind as time goes by and just can't stop playing with both....The Lt.

I haven't even seen those KR RD on Ebay. H'mmm, guess I will have to try joining the CC in June (when the new year starts) and see if the email access yields any clues to these mysteries.
