Hello everyone! A member at another forum turned me on to this board and I have to say I really like it! I recently created a Normandy dio using the Frontline Normandy diorama and some custom 1/32 stuff I made.
The stuff in the dio:
British:
1/32 Achilles: Represents a vehicle of the British 62nd Anti-Tank Regiment, 4th Battery, J troop. I made this by combining the lower hull and running gear from a Forces of Valor Sherman with the upper hull and turret from the horrible our of scale vintage Tamiya M10. After a bit of scratch building and detail parts I had my Achilles.
1/32 Daimler Scout Car: This vehicle represents a scout car from the Inns of Court Regiment. It is a repainted Britains vehicle
1/32 Paras= British 6th Airborne Division. These are an unreleased set of troops that you can only find on ebay.
*All of the above were British 1st Corps assets during overlord and into the fighting around Caen so I figured it wasn't fictitious to have them fight together. The 62nd ATR and the Inns of Court both landed on Sword Beach on D-Day as well.
Germans:
1/32 KO'd Jagdpanzer IV= 12th SS (Should be a short gun version, but the L/70 is cooler looking). 12th SS HJ had 10 of them in combat starting July 6th, and an additional 11 by the end of July. It is a monogram 1/32 kit.
German soldiers are from FOV.
