New Office Diorama... (1 Viewer)

What an awesome collection you have, Mike. I've always loved the Egyptian theme. You've created a most impressive dio.

Mike,
Wow! What a absolutely beautiful diorama. Such a variety of poses and well placed. If I had to do it over again; I would have collected this series.

Mike, WOW, absolutely stunning diorama...just magnificent! Very well laid out and executed. I love the way you made a waterway, with the various boats floating on it. Impressive that you have four chariots. Great Egypt collection. Way to go! George

This is amazing Mike. You really out-do yourself with every new dio you make and this one is incredible!

As the others have commented, you did a great job of positioning everything. My favorite part is the animals eating the greenery.....very well thought out!

Congratulations on a really fine collection and wonderful display.

Mike,

I don't how that I missed this thread, but your setup is wonderful. What a dream come true! I think that most collectors pull together figures from the ranges that they enjoy, all the time thinking that, someday/somehow, they'll be able to set the whole shebang up in a single, all-inclusive display. The fact that you've done so in your new office diorama will serve as an inspiration in regard to what's possible when one puts his mind to it. Congrats and thanks for sharing.

Mike,

Your dios have always been spectacular and this one is no exception. I think Andy needs to get you on the payroll LOL

thanks and yea...I think I am on the K&C books...but in the account's receivable section...

The biggest dilemma for me when doing a diorama is trying to make the bases disappear and most cases i'm able to achieve that. It transforms the toy soldiers into a real like scene as you would know. With your own diorama it would be more difficult with a lot of stone paving making the bases stand out. The overwhelming scope of your diorama negates all of these issues though, as one just want's to explore other areas of this spectacular spectacle. A real feast for the eyes. Regards Greg.

I don't know how I missed this thread Mike:redface2:

Just had another look at the pics, tempted to say Nice Jugs, but I think they're Urns, well formed in any case.

Greg...thank you...and you're right...this display is just too big to cover bases...it does take away some of the realism to me...but just too difficult to cover them all...
