I think Brad, its not so much what Alex is saying it's the way he's saying it. I think this is a real shame because he has much to offer the forum.

All I'd ask Alex is you step back a bit, have a think and take into account that not everyone has your expertise nor do they necessarily want what you look for in a model........different strokes for different folks.

Nope. I will pass on the "222". I will wait until another historically correct version, like the previous version, Tiger "007", is being produced by Figarti. I will not buy a "200" for the same reason.

In the past, I was able to assume that Figarti would bring a historically correct vehicle on the market. That assumption is no longer. And that is the only "step changer" I see. At a minimum, JJD and FL have produced detailed vehicles before. And being able to offer a lower price because you crank up production numbers is not a "step changer", but a business decision. We will have to see whether the market is able to absorb this many TS Tigers.

I admit I am disappointed because I really would. like this model. For those who do not mind historical inaccuracies, I think this is a great model and please enjoy it.

A few points.

Whether or not this particular Tiger is the best vehicle ever made is of no concern to me as a dealer. Your comments supporting that view have zero impact on my business down here in Australia. No problem if you think I may be biased simply because I do not sell Figarti.

It seems that you regard yourself as some sort of spokesman for collectors when in fact the simple reality is that forum members are adults and can make up their own mind how to spend their own money. You mention that you do not work for any brand and that may currently be true. However you conveniently forget to mention that the other forum you so frequently mention here is sponsored by a dealer who just happens to be the USA distributor of Figarti.

There are a number of collectors on this forum who collect vehicles from multiple brands. If they are paying normal prices then their opinions on vehicles are just as worthy as somebody who might be receiving some sort of sponsorship even if it is just to pay for running a web page/forum. Even amongst those collectors there will be differences of opinion over different aspects. For example I note Andanna mentioned he will not buy this Tiger because of some historical aspect that he thinks is not right. Since it is his money he is entitled to his opinion. Others may agree with you that it is the best Tiger/vehicle ever made. So when you say something is a fact or a reality you may wish consider that others may have a different view which should also be respected.

As a few others have tried to point out it is the manner in which you make your comments. You have a tendency to throw in provocative comments which then become the subject of discussion rather than the actual item you are praising. If you want your images and reviews to have more impact you might find it helps not to put down others while doing it.

Would be interested in what wrong with the tank to be honest ? To me this version has a better paint job than 007 version I have and that why I will move 007 on and get 200 instead

Only historical inaccuracy is in the turret number.

As has been covered earlie, the Figarti Models are of Command Tigers/Befehlstigers. There were not a whole lot of them and generally only the regiment HQ Company would have had them. The turret # 222 denotes the 2nd Kompanie, 2nd Platoon/Zug, 2nd Tiger. A vehicle here would have been a regular version Tiger, not a command Tiger with the extra radio equipment.

To be fair Al if you got the money to buy four Figarti tanks I'm sure they got the money to buy a $10.00 decal sheet don't you ^&confuse I'm more interested in this tank great detail and paint job than if it come with a decal sheet to be honest but that just me ^&grin

Absolutely Agree...I have also suggested this as well....It would not be difficult to add a few decals and turret numbers if they were supplied in the correct scale and color....I have just weathered the 007 Tiger and it looks great.:salute::

I am not used to have to customize my tanks by exchanging the decals. Zimmerit and the weathering discourage me from doing it myself. But the idea of adding the tactical number yourself is a good one.

Baggage is available separately, just not from Figarti.

I agree, a $10 decal sheet is an easy buy. I was just referring to manufacturers in general, allowing the customer to number his own vehicle(s), without having to remove numbers and possibly altering a paint job, etc. But I do agree that the buyer who can afford 4 Figarti Tigers is unlikely to be worried about the effort to alter existing decals.:wink2: -- Al
