Nfl 2012 season!!!! (1 Viewer)

The biggest regular season game of the year for me in any sports...Steelers visit the Ravens!! as usual I'm sure it will be a 3 point win for one team.................

You should move to Vegas, we'll call you Sammy the Greek.

Three point game it was.

Charlie Batch really sacked up today, what a gut check win for the Steelers, after that fumble by their wide out as he was about to take it to the house, they could have folded their tent and went home, but they dug in and pulled out a win, that kick was right down the pipe.

If the Patriots win out and the Ravens lose another game (they've still got the Giants, Redskins and Bengals on their schedule), the Patriots have the #1 seed.

Unreal.

Sammy, Tom, here we go. 13 all in the 3rd quarter. Defense rules and it is a typical Ravens-Steelers fist fight.:wink2: -- Al
Another down-to-the-wire game. Batch played a great game and Flacco wasn't quite good enough. Pittsburgh lives yet. -- Al

Steelers had our number today, all that non-sense of a sweep by the so called exsperts doesn't mean nothing, I knew this would be a grudge match just like Suggs said, it doesn't matter who's in or out you got to play through the injuries and play the game for 60 min. sure wouldn't surprise me if this fight goes 3 rounds this year with Lewis and Ben in the next battle...Sammy

Happy for the win, great game as always. I about threw up when we missed Wallace prior to the half (lost 4 points on easy TD) and then the Sanders fumbleitis nearly put me in the ER. I think he couldn't believe he was open and the end zone was clear, what a dolt. I don't care what anyone says, Plaxico would have taken that one to the house, we need to utilize him now that we have him, ridiculous he played only 1 play after the play by Wallace and Sanders. Anyhow, end of day, it was a happy win. We just need to figure out how to play a full 60 minutes again errror free on both sides of the ball. Until that happens, still the Ravens race to lose in the North. Glad to see Troy P out there, worried about Ike Taylor, have to wait and see the report. Amazing how Smith got to see a lot of balls once Ike was out.

Should make for an interesting finish, let's hope we take out the Chargers next week.

Final note, it was nice to see Batch get the win, guy is a Saint for the last 10 years as Ben's back up.

Huge game for the Redskins tonight. Huge, as in the whole season is in the balance. Win and the 'skins stay in the playoff hunt, lose and it's wait till next year. Hope RGIII and gang can take the Giants this time around. We are playing better ball than in the first meeting, which the Giants won with that last minute Td pass. Motivation to win is obvious. Have to keep pace with the Cowboys and the Giants with our tough remaining schedule, which includes the Giants tonight, the Ravens, and the Cowboys. The dream will live or die tonight.:wink2: -- Al

A lot of people in NY think the Giants will lose. Frankly, I don't see it but I don't discount the possibility. Prior to their week off the Giants were tired and it showed but I think having that week off made a huge difference and it also showed in their dominating victory over the Packers.

Tonight is one of those games where, if you are a Giant fan like me, you hold your breath and hope the championship team shows up, instead of the team than inexplicably falls into the doldrums every November. The one thing that I think may make sure the good Giants show up is the teenager battling Leukemia who fired them up before the Packers game is being taken by the Maras to all of the remaining games on the schedule. I don't know about you, but I know I would be more focused on doing my job the right way if a kid who was facing a potentially fatal disease told me all he wished for was for me to "play like a world champion."

If the Giants win this game, they will have a two game lead over the Cowoys (with the tie-breaker) and a three game lead over the Redskins (also with the tie breaker) with 4 games to play, and be ahead of the Packers for the 3rd playoff spot, and only a half game (the tie) behind the 49ers for the 2nd spot and a bye.

If they loose, they will be only one game in front of the Cowboys and the Redskins, who will both have the tiebreaker, and they will have a much tougher schedule down the stretch.

Tonight, basically, is the entire season for the G-Men.

It would seem that this a huge game for both teams. Let's hope they play like it. -- Al

My prediction for the game is.................we'll see the Coughlin face four times, the Manning face four times, plus two Coughlin hands on hips/what kind of a call was that and one Coughlin both hands in the air WTH is going on out there with a tomato face thrown in for good measure.

How about those Rams? It helps to have a guy who can kick a 50+ yd FG twice with the game on the line! Harbaugh will see those in his dreams.

For surprise team of the year, to date, I nominate the Colts. I certainly did not expect them to be 8-4 in what I thought was a rebuilding season for sure. Luck would seem to be the real deal. Yesterday's come from behind victory was quite impressive. Thought the Lions had that one locked. Still can't stand Irsay but a team that lost Manning and was a disaster without him, has sure made up that loss fast and is playing really well. -- Al

It sure wasn't a pretty win for the Redskins, but we're not giving it back. Saved our season for the time being and turned the race into a free-for-all. Giants won the first half by keeping the 'skins offense off the field and the Redskins returned the favor in the second half by getting their running game in gear. Ultimately it was that running game that won the game by picking up two crucial 1st downs while the 'skins kept the ball on their last possesion and ran out the clock. Can't overestimate the importance of keeping the ball out of Eli's hands over those last 4 minutes. We still got a rough schedule with the Baltimore game coming up and games against the Browns, Eagles, and Cowboys remaining, but at least we are relevent at this stage of the season for once. -- Al

So Al, how are you going to handle the Ravens/Redskins game tomorrow; do you have two rooms in your house with a TV in each one tuned to the game and go back and forth, wearing a Ravens hat in one room and a Redskins hat in the other as you watch the game?

I guess whatever the result, you'll be both happy and sad; I hope RGIII and the Redskins curb stomp the Ravens.

^&grin^&grin^&grinActually I have little conflict here. The Raven's are my second favorite NFL team. Now that the BALTIMORE Colts are no longer in the picture, my favorite team is the Washington Redskins. I became a Redskins fan (on a secondary basis to the Colts) in the 60's when Sonny Jurgensen and Sam Huff came to town amidst much hoopla. I became a Redskins only fan when the Colts bolted B-more and have never relegated the Redskins back to secondary status, even when the Browns moved to B-more as the Ravens. Way too many good memories with the Redskins to replace them with another team at this point in life. That said, I will go to my grave with my autographed (to me, personally) Johnny Unitas photo and other Colts paraphenalia.:wink2: -- Al

Al is happy, the Redskins beat the Ravens.

Al is sad, the Redskins beat the Ravens.

Way to go whatever the name of the back up QB of the Redskins is.

Roller-coaster day in the NFC East. Eagles and Cowboys both win on last second plays and the Redskins win in OT. All we need for a 3 way tie for first place is for the Giants to lose. Haven't a clue who owns the tiebreaker.:rolleyes2: The Redskins-Raven game was a fun game to watch with quite a bit of offense, some big plays, RGIII getting hurt, and the Redskins getting the tying Td and 2 point conversion with a back-up rookie Qb, to send it to OT. Gonna take a while for my BP to come back down.:wink2: -- Al

^&grin^&grin^&grin That about sums it up. The Ravens loss didn't hurt them as the Steelers and Bengals both lost, whereas the Redskins had to win to keep pace. The back-up rookie Qb is named Cousins and I hope he enjoys the sun for a little while this week, as long as RGIII can recover from his knee strain by next game.:wink2: -- Al

The Ravens loss didn't hurt them................

Actually it does; if the Patriots run the table and if the Broncos beat the Ravens, they go from having a bye, #2 seed to having to play on wildcard weekend and ending up with the #4 seed.

Today's loss was huge in that regard.

Heck of a game between the Skins and Ravens. I haven't pulled for the Redskins since Dan "Dumbbell" Snyder took over, but I did today. They played with heart and pulled a game out that they had no business winning. RGIII is a freak talent. Whoever that Cousins guy is came in and made some clutch plays.

Whole lot of 'ifs' in there George, the Ravens need to do one thing win the AFC North, and not lose any more games in the last minute:mad:, Ravens could have easily be 12-2 as 9-4, but nothing seems to be easy this year and I'm sure it won't be these last 3 games, we handle our business at home next week against the Broncos and we'll see where things are, ..my hopes..Texans beat Pats, we beat Broncos and were right back in the second seed. ahhh, if it were that simple:)...Sammy
