Although the betting line is prohibitive, 11 points, this might be a game where the Jets may have a shot, not a great shot, but a shot. Pats have lost some offensive weapons and are not as good as they used to be. Of course, they do have Brady and that should be good enough to win this game. However, against better teams, it could be a challenge.

Agree Brad....The NE Patriots should win without too much trouble....the "brady factor" is still too much for the Jets to overcome...Pats win by at least 9....is a good bet if NE is not firing on all cylinders

This game is pretty bad. You can thank the Jets defense they're still in it. I'll give Brady the benefit of the doubt because they're missing Gronkowski and Amendola but unless their play improves they will be out in the first round of the playoffs.

Soppy win for NE. Didn't look like either team was interested. Still, a win is a win is a win. -- Al

There are no ugly wins in the NFL. The game probably helped the young receivers for the Pats and the Jets QB: learning lessons. Weather didn't help either.

I agree guys, I think the weather kept the game close. Jets defense looked pretty good and their running game was not bad either. The Jets QB looks quite in experienced and does not seem to move well within the pocket when he is pressured by the pass rush...he just keeps dropping back....If he gets dropped for loss it would be for 20yards; but He seems to have a good arm. NE looked bad except for that first drive. They are missing alot of people. It couldbe a long season....but a win is a win

I agree with all of you, a win is a win in the NFL. Somewhere along the line we lost that idea. Maybe it is part of the ESPN/Yahoo Sports world that we live in where rankings seem to trump standings? This is not the NCAA, New England will not fall out of first place because they did not ‘blow-out’ supposedly inferior teams.

Not sure if there is such thing as a must win game in week 2, but if my ravens lose to the browns tommorow it may get ugly quick !!! Being at home 10 days to get ready plus that awful second half against the broncos should be enough to motivate this team but motivation only goes so far and you have to take the field and play the game...sammy

OK, Chiefs 7 Pokes 10 in the 2nd. GO Chiefs! Ouch Smith just got sacked! :( punting. Arrowhead Mike!

So-so day for my teams of the B-W corridor. Redskins lost again and once again fell way behind early leaving no chance to win. Somebody better figure it out. On the other hand, the Ravens won, even though it was unimpressive. But they are in the win column at least. -- Al

The Chiefs were always my favorite AFC team until the Ravens came along. I grew up following those stacked teams of the 60's and 70's led by Dawson, Garrett, Taylor, and such. They always seemed to be in the mix. And Jan Stenerud was fantastic. :salute:: -- Al

Final Score; Browns 14, Browns 6.

And I should have known better than to root for the Giants to beat Denver, what a disaster; as I type this, Eli heaves up an INT in the end zone by throwing into triple coverage.

What an enigma wrapped in a riddle this guy is.

The refs did their part to try to line up a home Super Bowl game for the Giants with that one TD drive; 5 first downs, 4 on penalties, two of which were of the total BS variety.

Maybe the Giants should petition the league to have all teams were Patriots uniforms as he seems to respond well to that sight.

I guess we know who will have bragging rights at the Manning house this Thankgiving............

George-

I have to also ask if there are any fans in the stadium? New York has had some decent plays, TDs etc., but I have not heard the crowd once.

The Giants always play to a full house, ask Louis as I am sure he can enthrall you with stories about tickets being in certain Giants fans families for centuries, people dropping by funerals to see if the deceased individuals tickets are available, divorces where the husband was willing to let the wife keep everything including spot the dog and his glossy K & C collection as long as he kept the tickets, how all of those rabid, long suffering New Yorkers were finally rewarded with a Super Bowl appearance and championship in 1988 when they beat Denver 38-20.

Not sure why they were quiet today, probably just saving their energy for that home Super Bowl game they've got lined up in February..............

Don't worry Al, I will take a unimpressive win over a loss every Sunday, the Browns always play the Ravens tough, last year it was 2 Raven wins vs. Browns that were not decided to the 4th quarter, sound familiar?? just glad the defense looked better and hopefully the offense will play better next week, as the Texans come to B'more it sure as hell doesn't get any easier...Sammy

Seahawks destroyed my Niners. Hats off to Pete Carrol. They had the perfect plan to stop Kaepernick. Green Bay tried the same thing last week but simply did not have the personnel to do it.

Also, a tip of the cap to Carroll for not running up the score when they had the ball on about the 12 yard line with 2 minutes left. I am ashamed to say it but Harbaugh would have tried to score a TD followed by on onside kick. Win with class. Harbaugh could learn something from Carroll about that.

He didn't run up the score but he didn't have to challenge that fumble with about 4 minutes left. That was somewhat classless. I really don't like that team, particularly that moron Sherman, and I can tell you my son was pretty ticked. Let's hope the favor is returned when they come to California.

I am sure we will bounce back and my bet is we will win when they come here in December.

Sherman is an interesting case. Coming out of Stanford Harbaugh was his biggest fan, touting him to NFL teams and saying that his trash talking ways were what made him so great. Then again, that was then, this is now.

I am not a fan of either Carroll or Harbaugh. However, I get a massive dose of Harbaugh here in the Bay Area and I can't stand him. He is the antithesis of Bill Walsh and George Seifert. We have a tradition here of not just winning but winning with class.

The predicted no.1 team (49'ers) took a whipping last night, I did not see that one coming as good as they played last week they played that bad last nite, give Seahawks credit they played some good ball and will go far I think this year.

As far as Jim Harbaugh I'm not a fan of his either, even though his brother John Harbaugh coaches my Ravens, I'm sure there are fans that do not like John either but he doesn't come off rude, or I'm better then you attitude as it does with Jim, I will never forget the playoff game last year when Jim went nuts on the sidelines when a call didn't go his way, then come to find out after the Super Bowl he wanted no contact with brother John for almost 6 weeks until a golfing tournament, yea...talk about a sore loser:)...Sammy
