wow...what a comeback...

as bad as Seattle played...they were that good in the 4th quarter...

the key play of the game to me was the 3rd and 19 in the 3rd quarter that Seattle converted...

another strange play was at 5:04 in the 4th...when Burnett intercepted Wilson and surrendered advancing the ball by falling down...he acted like there was very little time on the clock...

I was winning the whole game with a comfortable lead and barely squeaked by with +7...

What a game indeed! On to the SB!

Thought the same thing on that 3rd and 19 and when Burnett went to the turf. Weird game all around for Seattle in terms of scoring; faked FG, 2-point conversion that should never have happened and the onsides kick recovery. Can you say "Golden Horseshoe"? Terrible way to lose and unbelievable way to win. -- Al

Well it felt good while it lasted but the GBP managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory . . . . . the Seahawks came alive at the end in spite of all their turnovers . . . .
Mike

extremely tough loss Mike...

I feel you pain...

my cowboy's defeat was a little bitter for me too...

hope you ate whatever wonderful little dish you made for the game before the 4th quarter...

that game was hard to swallow for a GB fan and will stick in their craw for years to come...

Now, off to NE and trying to spot George in the crowd...^&grin -- Al

2-point conversion that should never have happened Al

that was huge...

a monstrous lucky break!

he just heaved it in the air like a mortar shell that happened to land in a receiver's hands barely standing on the goal line...

okay...well...kudos to Seattle...

like Al Davis used to say..."just win baby"...

it was an ugly...gritty...lucky win...

but a win is a win...

as an arm chair quarterback...who can second guess every call...I think McCarthy and his coaching staff...(that have forgotten more about football than I will ever know)...made some mistakes...

I would have gone for it both times early on 4th down from inside the 1 yard line...

the prevent D rushing only 3 on the 3rd and 19...I didn't like that call either...

but...they know more than I do...just my opinion...

When GB got that interception in the last quarter they played that set of plays like it was game over they did nothing with it in quick time and gave the ball back ^&confuse^&confuse

I don't think it was a lucky win. I didn't see anything lucky in the way they scored. They just never gave up and were able to overcome a bad first half...and don't forget the effect of the 12 man in Seattle.:wink2:

it was a gritty win no doubt...and you're right...they never gave up...but the odds of a on side kick and a two point conversion are really not that good...

and on that 2 point conversion...that really was a pretty lucky catch...he just kind of heaved that ball up 40 yards high and it fell into a receiver's hands standing on the goal line...

you're right about them never giving up...but neither did GB...and they lost...

that catch was kind of lucky...not taking anything away from the Seattle win...or their fans...

but..................^&grin...

Call it what you will, good luck, good fortune, Green bay incompetence, Seattle was fortunate to win. If the Packers even score 1 Td on those early red zone possessions, Seattle loses. They don't score a Td on the fake FG, Seattle loses; They don't score the 2-point conversion (that was lucky, no doubt about it), Seattle loses; They don't recover the on-sides kick (Packers flubbed it), Seattle loses. Too many lucky breaks to be any thing but extreme good fortune. All that said, Seattle never gave up and took it away from the Packers. A win is a win, lucky or not, and it is always better to be lucky than good. -- Al

Hate to say it, but that was a great defensive stand at the end of the half by Indy in holding NE to a FG and keeping themselves in the game. -- Al

Al...yea...that could have blown it open...NE's running game is ramming the ball down their throat...

Mike, NE has exhibited a very balanced attack today. I can't figure them out. One game they run the opposition over, the next game they throw the ball 50+ times. I guess that's why they win, because no one else can figure out what they will do, either. One thing I have noticed though, the Colts have neutralized Gronk, so far. -- Al

King Pete is on a roll. He has become as good a big game coach as I can remember dating back a decade or more with USC. A tough coach to beat. The Pats-Colts game is a real yawner so far. The colts look awful.

Gronk just neutralized the Colt's neutralization!{eek3} I think this game is done, duh! -- Al

Why in the world, with a 45-7 lead, and 6 minutes to play, is Tom Brady still in the game, on a wet field, and risking injury? Someone needs their head examined. -- Al

Dominating win by NE. Congratulations to them and to you, George, and any other NE fans on the forum. One thing I think I can be sure of in the SB is this, Seattle WILL NOT do to NE what they did to Denver.:salute:: -- Al
