NFL 2015 Season (1 Viewer)

Too many Niners in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. In this day and age you can't ignore character issues when drafting or signing free agents. I hope this is the last remnants from the old Niners regimes.

Jason...

I don't think we can hold the franchise responsible for the actions of someone they drafted...

what's key...is how they respond...

lots of college kids blow their careers with unacceptable behavior before even entering the draft...

even if they are guilty...

I don't think this is a reflection on the 49er's organization...

Mike:

Excellent post and thanks for the words of encouragement.

For now I am going to let it play out and see what happens with Brooks as well as how the organization handles it.

Russell Wilson believes 'Recovery Water' healed head injury...

which he just happens to back financially...

what a charlatan...

he should be ashamed of himself...

must be the same stuff they had in the Outlaw Josey Wales...

Wilson recants healing concussion healing powers of the water he financially promotes...:rolleyes2:

This is not Enemkpali's first brush with off-the-field violence. At 19, while at a bar when he was at college at Louisiana Tech, a fight broke out and he punched an off-duty cop who was working security at the bar. On that night, Enemkpali had to be subdued first with pepper spray and then with a stun gun.

He was arrested and charged with battery on a police officer and disturbing the peace/drunk, according to court records. The charge was amended to simple battery, and he received a suspended jail sentence and was placed on 13 months' probation. He also was ordered to perform 32 hours of community service and to complete an anger-management course.

another Enemkpali arrest came to light this week...

in 2011...

he met a "woman" for sex on Craig's List...

Missy Lee...

that turned out to be a man...

and knocked...his/her teeth out...

watch the video...
it's hysterical...

you just can't make this stuff up...

Michael Vick was signed by the Steelers as Ben's back up. Last night I was browsing Facebook and I saw that some people were falling over themselves panning the move. Some were saying "I was horrified," "I'm becoming a Giants fan," a lot of indignation and so forth. Hello, what happened to the man serving his time and paying his debt to society. Is there no forgiveness in people anymore. Yes, a reprehensible act(s) by him but is there no forgiveness anymore?

Just because you pay your debt doesn't mean anyone needs to afford you more credit.

The return of the Vick. Even old stories reemerge to bite the NFL in the butt. Nothing is allowed to die and go away in this day of social media.:rolleyes2: -- Al

everyone is entitled to their own opinion...

but this might placate the Michael Vick critics in Pittsburgh a bit...

Michael Vick's first pass as a Steeler is a 63-yard bomb...

http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/pittsburgh-steelers-michael-vick-first-pass-long-gain-082915

I saw where Steelers fans have a petition going where they want him off the team; considering what their starting QB got away with, I find that pathetic.

The same report showed one woman holding a big sign out in front of the practice facility that he must go and now "My season is ruined."

Really; your season is ruined because of the BACK UP QB?

After that 63 yard bomb, they're probably ready to build a statue for him.

I had an Uncle who served time at Walpole state prison; he paid his debt to society and moved on, was never in trouble with the law again, also have a brother who did some time, he's also been squeaky clean since he got out, so this is a touchy subject for me and before I say something I'm going to regret (wouldn't be the first time on this forum), I'm out.........................

George...

somebody is really backing that petition...
I read yesterday that they had 20,000 signatures already...

you know how long it takes to collect 20,000 signatures...

I guessing the SPCA sent out form letters to it's members requesting electronic signatures...
cause it's pretty hard to go door to door to get that many people to sign...

I'm a dog lover...
I was pissed when I heard what was going on at his home and that he he was implicated in it...
but he did 2 years in the pen to pay for his crime...

then I'm glad he's getting a second chance...
if he's talented enough...
let him sign...

people reform...people change...

don't know if you even watch "Scared Straight"...
they take these juvenile thug "wanna be's" and throw them in jail for a week of so...
lots of them stop that nonsense once they get a real taste of a thug's life in prison...

Mike,
Yes, I saw that, 20,000 signatures.

Wow, ok then.

And I'm an animal lover too, those SPCA commercials hit me where I live, my girlfriend is an SPCA member.

I guess what he did is going to follow him forever like his shadow; whether it's right or wrong for that to happen is not for me to decide.

All I know is if I did time, I'd hate to have to wear a scarlet letter over it the rest of my life.

I've seen those scared strait shows; they are something else............................

George...

I can't stand those commercials...

little dog chained up outside shivering in the snow...
shaking and trembling...
scrawny and underfed...
scarred up face...
blind in one eye...
pitiful looking face from being mistreated...

I can't even watch those commercials...
I gotta change the channel when they come on...

I'm a smoker...
and those graphic smoking commercials gross me out too...

too hard core for me...
the shock value gimmick is too strong...
too graphic...

they just make me change the channel...

Yeah, they really rip at my heartstrings, I have to change the channel too, they're too much...........poor dogs and cats.

One of our cats came from a home where the womans boyfriend abused her; my girlfriend knows the story, she refuses to tell me what happened as I've asked her. She told me I'd go postal if I knew what he subjected that cat to.

Probably better off I don't know as I'd make it my business to find the guy; then I'd join my uncle and brother as Guerriero's who ended up in the can.......................

these all started with those Sally Struther's Christian Center's Fund commercials...

oooh yea...

"this is Babawakoo...he and his sister take turns eating every other day...he drinks water out a bacteria laden river..."

as they show this poor child with 10 flies on his face...

Sally Struthers has a designer outfit on...is 50 pounds overweight...

and you wanna just scream...

"Sally...give this poor child a Snickers Bar"...

this is a great cause...and it is a terrible life...

but the shock value of the commercial defeats the message...

it's just too overwhelmingly graphic to watch...

Saw a blurb today that there are rumblings in DC that the Redskins want to cut bait with RG III.

Wow have the mighty fallen, 2012 is just a distant memory at this point I guess.

Unbelievable.

In the NFL, if you don't have a top shelf QB, you are toast, the Redskins just go round and round the drain, circling it for what, 30 years or so?

Reports are team officials have all but convinced Snyder to trade or cut RG III. A trade seems highly unlikely as they have tried shopping him for a while and have had no interest from anyone. Cousins and McCoy look to be the Qb's that the Skins will go forward with. -- Al

Everybody deserves a second chance.

From the trial transcripts (summarized):

Jumper cables were clipped onto the ears of under-performing dogs, the cables were connected to the terminals of car batteries before lifting and tossing the dogs into the water. The pool walls were scratched, clawed and bit by the dogs as they attempted to escape. (Michael Vick was aware of and participated directly in these acts).

Sorry, no second chances from me.
