NFL 2015 Season (2 Viewers)

Oooooooooh woe is me…

The game was on in Chicago on Fox…I saw most of the first half sitting at the bar before I left for the airport…and the Cowboys dominated it…

It was 21-7..with the Cowboys leading when my cab came…I was both shocked and elated…

I have no idea what they did in the second half and when I heard the final score I was floored…

Randle had 87 yards rushing…but I know 65 of them came on the first drive when I was watching the game…

Like Moe said…they must have packed the box and totally shut him down after that…

I forgot to DVR it…and could only try to decipher the box score and play by play to understand how they crumbled…

I don’t think anyone expected Weeden to dominate anybody’s defense…I think they just want him to manage the game without turnovers…I know he was 14 for 14 straight to start the game…but they were all dink and dunk passes…nothing really deep…I know he was picked once…but to go 22-26...you would think they could of at least scored in the second half or kept the game closer…

Dallas’s defense must have been dominated in the second half…not sure who had coverage on Julio Jones…but his box numbers show he torched them…

I honestly don’t see it getting any better til they get a little healthier…

At Drew Brees next week…

Then hosting Brady…

Not good…

Something wrong with the water in Baltimore. O's flushed their last real chance at the WC by being swept in 3 straight shutout losses and now the Ravens have started 0-3 for the first time in their history, effectively flushing the season down the drain after only 3 weeks. What is up in Baltimore?{sm2} -- Al

not sure who is playing worse right now, the O's or Ravens,??? doesn't matter, neither will see post season this season...Sammy

come Monday...

Carolina is gonna be 4-0...

not saying they are that good or have hard a tough schedule so far...

but they are gonna be 4-0 most probably...

nothing pretty about the Raven win tonite as both teams had plenty of dumb plays, but if we only go 2-14 and beat the Steelers I'm good :)...Sammy

that is true Mike both defenses played decent, but 3 losses to AFC teams already for the Ravens is going to be a hard pill to recover from, but the birds will sing a little louder for me tommorow :)

Sammy...

it very well could of been 4 losses...

you should send Tomlin a thank you card...^&grin

not his best work as a coach tonight...

I watched part of the game. Vick is terrible. Ravens receivers dropped or missed eminently catchable balls. Tomlin's decision to kick a FG when they were up by 3 with 2 or so minutes to go was a poor decision, typical of what we see in the NFL these days. Neither team deserved to win; both looked poor.

Ok, this game sucked pure and simple. Steelers had the Ravens beat, poor decisions abounded. That said, if the idiot kicker makes one of the FG"s its over. He should be fired plain and simple. Steelers gave the Ravens this game. Unbelievable. I am done and don't want to see a Steelers game for a bit (at least a week :)

God that was awful and ironic at the same time.

That game was just awful............they should make prisoners watch that game on a continual loop, they'd never commit another crime again..................that kicker has to go, man does he suck.

The Steeler are in big trouble; Ben is out for another month or so and wow is their schedule brutal.

They gave that game away..................I had the Ravens in my pool, watched that game while holding my nose the whole time................

So after this massacre in London, looks like Philbin is toast.

The Dolphins should just fire him after the game; my advice to him is wander over to Buckingham Palace, ask for a bearskin hat, red coat, black pants and a rifle. Throw the uniform on and just stand there with the same vacant look on his face that he's got on the sidelines; he's perfectly suited for that job.

I saw that fraud Firemarshall Bill in the crowd; really? I though he gave up on the Jets; guess a free trip to London was too good to pass up.

So now the talking heads will all be raving about the Jets and how they've got a shot to dethrone the Patriots in the AFC East; as long as spinach chin is their QB, that ain't going to happen, talk about Jekyll and Hyde, he looks like *** one minute and then a worldbeater the next...............nope, forget it.

I think you mean Fireman Ed. He announced this year he was coming back; good news to your ears I'm sure.

I didn't see the whole game but Fitzpatrick was far from being on target. Had the fish a more competent QB it could have been a close game.

I was impressed by the crowd. Wembley was sold out and there are obviously a lot of English fans.

Brad,
As a long time fan of football, do you agree these games today are just plain awful?

Mike, how do you gamble in todays NFL; the league is so watered down, there are no great teams anymore, no sure fire locks, each week is a crap shoot.

Giants up 16-3, Redskins up 13-0, Luck is out, the Chefs look awful, on and on it goes.

I need to stop playing in the weekly pool; either that or just stick 32 names on a dart board and go from there...................

George...

you're right...there is no parity in the NFL...
it is watered down...
a couple of great teams...
and tons of hacks...

two years ago with all these strong armed QB's...
I thought it was time to shake things up...
Flaco...Roethlisberger...Brady...Rogers...Luck...Romo...Rivers...Dalton...Cutler...Palmer...Newton...the Mannings...and others...etc...

what happened...^&grin
you could cut that list in half...
then cut it in half again...

those are the elite teams...

and 2-3 names will almost always be in the final cut...

but on gambling...
there is parity on every game...

your parents raised you a good Catholic boy...
I know you have met your share of bookies and shylocks over the years...

you understand the line...
we have talked points before on the phone...

Vegas creates parity with the line...
getting points or giving points...

no sure fire locks...
no sure things with the point spread...

last week the Pats were -16 against Jacksonville...

now that creates parity...^&grin

16 points...
is 2 touchdowns and a field goal...
almost...
that's a ton of points...

still...
winning that game by 34...
the Pats covered handily...
but it's always hard to pick with the point spread...

Las Vegas makes those watered down teams look pretty appealing for your $$$ sometimes...^&grin

lots of undefeated 4-0 teams...

Cincinnati looks good this year...
and they haven't played a totally soft schedule...

Denver...
I dunno...
Peyton just keeps getting older and keeps winning...

Green Bay...
I can see that...
Rogers name would be in the final cut for me...

Atlanta...
I think they are for real...
Matt Ryan is playing good...
plenty of offense...

Cam Newton...
I dunno...
I'm puzzled on this one...
a very soft schedule...
but still 4-0...

maybe Hochuli told the refs to give Carolina a bunch of good calls after Newton accused him over his alleged comments...^&grin

Time to change the rules...role back the clock...no more than 35 passes per game per team. Learn to once again run the ball and play defense. The game is nothing more than pinball on a big field as it presently is played and because of all the moving parts, the complicated pass offenses, the game is nothing but a penalty flag fest. Roll it all back to the 1960's and play some real football.^&cool -- Dinosaur Al

Mike,
I'm in a pick em pool, pick the winners strait up each week with no spreads.

I give up, these teams are so up and down, no consistency from week to week, up one week, down the next.

There are five undefeated teams right now, throw the rest of them in a hat and see what happens.

Like Al said, they chuck the ball all over the place, penalty flags flying everywhere, the game is nuts right now..........

I'm with George and Al on this one. Unfortunately, it is not a new topic. The game is watered down. Parity is the order of the day. I used to be excited when the game came on but not so in the last couple of years.
