Shock o' shocks. The Redskins have won a game on the road, 24-21, in Chicago. First road win this year and breaks a streak of 10 road losses in a row, AND it means the Redskins continue to stay in 1st place another week. What a powerhouse. -- Al
Disappointing loss by the Bears. Second week in a row Robbie Gould has cost them a game
Andy Dalton injured his thumb earlier today, is on the sideline in street clothes with a hard cast on.
Bengals losing 26-10.
Ruh Roh................
I heard he broke it...but not sure if it was his throwing hand???
It's his throwing hand; the Bungles are in fine shape with AJMcINT in charge..................at least they'll show his smokeshow wife in the stands at his games for the next few weeks..................If the Patriots win tonight, they're the #2 seed.
If they win next week and Pittsburg beats the Donkos, they're back to the #1 seed.
And man, what a beautiful toss sweep just run by Dallas, looks like first and goal now after a completion down to the two.
Another one of those day/night games. Oakland turned the tables on Denver, getting more plays, more first downs, more yards, and most importantly, shut out Denver in the 2nd half to win 15-12. Go figure. -- AlDenver is totally manhandling Oakland. Score is only 12-0 Denver, at the half, but Denver has run 45 plays to Oakland's 13, and has outgained Oakland 224 to -12 (that's NEGATIVE 12 yards), with a 17-1 edge in 1st downs. Total shutdown. -- Al
Jets and Steelers have one tough game left in their schedules, Steelers against Broncos and Jets against Pats. Last game of season for Jets is against Bills. You know Rex will be doing anything to deny Jets a playoff berth.
On of these two teams could have 10 wins and not make the playoffs.
Yeah, replay delays are becoming very tiresome. Watched a game yesterday where a Td was scored and reviewed. The review overturned the call. All well and good, but the team that had the Td reversed came right back and scored on the very next play after the review, and guess what, the Td had to be reviewed again, because of rule. Well, the 2nd Td was A-OK but the delay involved in the back-to-back reviews was a tremendous drag on the flow of the game. The many flags and reviews are resulting, in my opinion, in a very much slowed down game. I tend to watch NFL Red Zone at this point, which has no commercials, and no flags. It jumps around all over the place to whatever game has current action, and you can't get into the flow of any particular game, but it keeps you informed and it is not boring. -- AlI saw only two plays from yesterday. Coincidentally, both pass completions that were challenged. One in the Pats game and one in the Dallas-GB game. Both resulted in a delay to sort it out. In the Pats game, I think they said it was the second challenge and because both calls were overturned they got another challenge. LOL. That's when I realized global warming had resulted in a record 70 degree December day and there were better things to do than watch the refs sort out every call.
