NFL 2015 Season (2 Viewers)

On ESPN showed footage of a bunch of players on the sideline posing for a selfie with about two minutes to go in a blowout win last week.

Imagine Belichick's reaction to that, or Lombardi, or Shula, or........well you get the point.

That team is WAY too cocky for my taste, stop dancing and posing and play the game the right way.

If things play out the way they should and they beat the Seahawks, Cardinals and Patriots, don't worry, they'll get all the respect in the world.

you're ringing my dinner bell buddy...

I can't stand that sheeet...

Kobe was on Jimmy Kimmel last year...

Kimmel showed Kobe a selfie video of Swaggy P and some other Lakers clowning like fools...
after a very rare win...
they were celebrating like they had the best record in the NBA...
laughing it up...posing for the camera...hollering..."we're #1"...flashing inane hand signs...having a great time...
the Laker's record was abysmal at that time...
mathematically out of the playoff very early in the season...

when he showed Kobe the clip...
you could see the disgust and disdain on Kobe's face as he watched it...

it was really sad...to see a once great player so genuinely embarrassed over these kid's antics...

that's what it's come to today in sports...
put the camera on me...
it's all about me...
me...me...me...
no respect for the sport...

Belichick...Lombardi...Shula...

add Tom Landry to that mix...

so distinguished...so reserved and stoic...

he would be turning over in his grave if the Cowboy's won a game and did that...

Despite agreeing with George about their antics, purely on ability, I think Carolina deserves all the respect in the world. They are 13-0 for a reason. If you gave Cam Newton a quality wide receiver, this team would be a truly great team. Perhaps the antics take away from the respect. I've always liked the Barry Sanders or Emmit Smith approach - hand the ball to the referee, act like you've been there before and expect to be there again.

Carolina should destroy the Giants on Sunday. They should be able to score at will on the pathetic Giants defense, and the Giants offense will not be able to keep pace, if for no other reason that on every first down, the Giants try a predictable running play, and either get stuffed for a loss, make no gain, or at best gain 2-3 yards. By wasting one down in every possession, they ensure they cannot score enough to beat a good team. The Giants lack the offensive line talent and the running back talent to run in predictable run situations. The Giants really can only run when its a passing down, and they catch the other team with only 6-7 in the box.

Frankly, as bad as the Giant's running game is, I would consider either putting a tight end or a tackle eligible with decent hands in the back field, to pick up blitzers and buy Eli enough time to find Beckham, and just dump the ball off to the tight end if the defense drops back into coverage, in lieu of a running game, a la the 80's 49er's teams, who used short passes to Roger Craig as a substitute for a run game. They have Vereen, the third down back they picked up from the Patriots in free agency, who could act as a Roger Craig type, but for reasons known only to MacAdoo, the Giants offensive coordinator, they have not used him in this roll.

that's so true...

if NY had a decent secondary..they would have a much better record...that predictable offense puts them in tough spots on 2nd and 3rd downs...

still...with Eli's arm...I think they can be a spoiler if they make the playoffs...

JPIII has not produced since returning...but if they get hot at the right time...they can be dangerous...

and yea...I don't care who Carolina beat...they have beaten every team they have played so far...so yea...they are that good...

everybody has seen these types of plays before...

http://www.businessinsider.com/vide...ly-dropped-the-ball-before-the-endzone-2013-9

so anxious to go into their celebration shuffle that they cost their team...

I have seen guys stripped of the ball on the one yard line while they carelessly wave it in the air before crossing the goal line...

many times...

I have seen them spike it before they cross the goal line...

I have seen them loose the ball in their mid air flip into the endzone...

just too much me...me...me...

this showboating just ruins it for me...

If and when Carolina meets the Patriots in the Super Bowl I will take the Patriots no matter what the line is.

If the Patriots are healthy, they can beat anyone, but the question will be how healthy are they? They should have crushed the Giants and Eagles, but barely beat the Giants and lost ugly to the Eagles, principally because of key injuries. I will hold off on picking the Panthers/Patriots Super Bowl until they both make it, and I can see the condition they are in health wise.

That's not a prediction one can safely make until you know the situations with the teams at that time, assuming both make the game and that's still an "if."

It's like picking the World Series winner now. Can't be done.

This weekend is the day that could make or break Jets season; Jets need to win today and hope that Broncos can beat Steelers. If both teams emerge from this weekend with identical records, the odds of Jets making the playoffs are slim. Steelers play Browns and Ravens in final two games whereas Jets still have to play Pats and Bills. At 11-5, they still might be watching the playoffs at home.

Well, they got the win last night.

Awesome.

So here they are, all thanks to their starting QB getting his lights punched out in training camp, then spinach chin steps in, pulls a career year out of his rear end and they now sit at 9-5 with a very good shot of sneaking into the playoffs.

Unbelievable.

Now that game next week is going to be a war.

It was not an impressive performance. They are an ok team but like many teams many of their wins come at the expense of poorer teams. I won't rule it out but the Patriots should win.

Today's Giants game should be interesting. Commentators and fans are trying to find ways to predict a a Giants win, as in they've knocked off otheir undefeated teams, etc. and so forth and on and on. The trouble is that this version of the Giants is not as half as good or has the defense those teams did.

Just when it looks like the game is going the Giants way, Manning throws a pick.

The Mighty Redskins have won 2 games in a row and have reached .500 on the season. They have won consecutive games for the first time since weeks 7-8 of LAST season. 7-7 is far better than was ever expected and Cousins is playing like a real Qb should. -- Al

Remarkable comeback by the Giants but they left too much time for SuperCam. -- Al

Whooohoooo! All that matters is that the Vikings beat the Bears ....... All 'cause I was at the game ^&grin

Some family members bleed Purple & Gold ..... And have season tickets - all games are better in person! Especially with good seats & a WIN :)

Tough loss for the Giants, to come all the way back and then not win. The ball that Beckham dropped and the one that Rogers-Cromartie dropped will come back to haunt him.

Beckham was out of control. He should have been ejected. He's the Giants version of DeSean Jackson.

a sad time to be a Cowboy's fan...

I have watched football my entire life...

I have never seen this before...

Saturday...Matt Cassell almost fell down trying to throw the ball out of bounds...

he couldn't throw it 15 yards to reach out of bounds to receive an incomplete pass...

instead...

it was intercepted by Reevis...

no Cowboy's receiver was even close to the ball...

hahaha...

to add insult to injury...

they threw a flag for intentional grounding after the play was over...

I have never seen that...

an intentional grounding penalty on an interception...

woeeeeeeee is me....^&grin

they are really...really...really bad...

Michael, the injury bug ruined this team and maybe they are currently bad, but they are far from the bad that were the Cowboys in '88 and '89. Those teams were so bad, even the Redskins fans felt bad for Dallas. The Cowpokes will be back. -- Al

thank God there's only 2 weeks left to this miserable NFL season, but hey my 2016 draft party this year should be very exciting with my Ravens getting a top 4 (maybe higher) player!!! :)...Sammy

I just don't get Denver; in the first half of the game today, they looked like worldbeaters, up 27-13, then their offense and defense both laid an egg in the second half and they blew the game 34-27, they were gifted a boneheaded INT by the Steelers late in the game and did nothing with it.

They've now got 4 losses, the Patriots have 2, the Bengals have 3; IF Denver beats the Bengals next week and the Patriots beat either the Jets or Miami and finish 14-2 or 13-3, they have HFA for the playoffs.

Amazing.

Thanks Pittsburg.

Nice to know this forum has at least one other Vikings fan!

We continue to beat the teams worse than use. Can't argue with that. If we can find a way to beat the Packers on the last day of the year we win the division. Hard to believe.
