NFL 2015 Season (1 Viewer)

The Iggles get blown out at home by the Cardinals; good to know at 6-8 that if they win their last two games, they win the division and host a playoff game.

Awesome, 8-8 gets it done then.

Well, they got the win last night.

Awesome.

So here they are, all thanks to their starting QB getting his lights punched out in training camp, then spinach chin steps in, pulls a career year out of his rear end and they now sit at 9-5 with a very good shot of sneaking into the playoffs.

Unbelievable.

Now that game next week is going to be a war.

so.....

who is "spinach chin"...

and why did he get that moniker?

The Mighty Redskins have won 2 games in a row and have reached .500 on the season. They have won consecutive games for the first time since weeks 7-8 of LAST season. 7-7 is far better than was ever expected and Cousins is playing like a real Qb should. -- Al

Al:

The Redskins have not allowed a 300 yard passer all season. That is impressive.

The Jets QB Fitzpatrick has a beard, hence the term spinach chin.

Spinach chin comes from a three stooges short. They are after the rootin tootin diamond that was stolen by Oh my gosh, the emir of Schmo and they are waiters in a restaurant when two guys come in, one of them who has a beard breaks down crying when he finds out they missed out on the diamond, so he says "Now I'll have to go back to my job as a doorman at the oasis hotel" and Moe says "Hey SPINACH CHIN, you mean to tell me you're just a doorman at the oasis hotel" and then he shoves the guy out the restaurant and says "Well, there's the door, man"...........................

Jason,
That is impressive for a defense whose secondary was a shambles to start the season. No one expected this out of the team and we are all holding our collective breathes, waiting for the bubble to burst. They must beat the Eagles next game or it is all for naught. The biggest surprise, to me, has been the play of Qb Kirk Cousins. He has set a team record for 300 yard games (6) in a season, and he is on the verge of setting other team season records, which is pretty remarkable considering we have had such Qb's as Jurgensen, Theisman, Schroeder, Rypien, and Baugh.
An appearance in the playoffs would be quite an achievement for this team, even if it is 'one and done'. -- Al

The Stooges are classics, especially when the trio consisted of Moe, Larry, and Curly. Grew up with these nutballs and the constant TV disclaimers, "Kids, don't try this at home." -- Al

A Warriorism or the Wonderful World of Warrior {eek3}

It seems the Jets best bet in making the playoffs (from what I have heard this morning) is the Jets winning the rest of their games and the Broncos losing to the Bengals this week. If they both finish with the same records, the Jets would have a better conference record and they get in. It doesn't appear as if the Steelers will lose so that avenue for the Jets is out.

gotcha ...thanks...

I just heard Odell Beckham, Jr. is suspended for the Giants last game against the Eagles (interesting that they did not suspend him for the prime time game against the Vikings next Sunday night). He deserves to be suspended, as he has been acting like a punk throughout the season.

However, I suspect that, if the Giants beat the Vikings next Sunday night, and the Redskins lose to the Eagles, he will appeal the suspension, as, if the Giants beat the Eagles, and the Cowboys beat the Red Skins, the Giants, at 8-8 would win the division in a tie breaker over the Red Skins (who would also be 8-8), while the eagles would finish 7-9. What a disgrace the NFC East has become!

Where are you hearing that he's not out until the last game of the year? ESPN is saying that they expect him to appeal immediately and could be out for the Vikes game.

Pretty embarrassing display by OBJ...as well as the officiating crew that let him stay in the game. While one can argue about whether there should be so many penalties for helmet to helmet contact, this one was completely intentional (he had a 15 year run before initiating it). I lost a lot of respect for him yesterday...

He's out for the Vikings game, he's not ducking that game on appeal or any other nonsense, he is and should be suspended for that game.

Lost respect? I had no respect for him prior to yesterday, he falls into the category Mike Miller talked about, the whole "Hey everyone, look at me" type of player in todays NFL I can't stand.

Good for you, you can make catches with one hand wearing gloves that are one step below wearing a coating of stickum.

What an out of control punk.

That's what the alert I got from the NFL Mobile app said. I have since heard that he will be out for the Vikings game, but that he is appealing, and that the appeal will be expedited.

The fact that he's appealing the suspension after the way he acted on the field yesterday takes some set of stones.

Take your punishment and move on.

Appealing it makes him look like an even bigger idiot if that's even possible.

While he was out of control yesterday, the Panthers, as Zach alluded to, are not blameless, with the black bat and homophobic slurs. See http://nypost.com/2015/12/21/panthers-taunted-odell-beckham-with-bat-before-game/ This is just as bad as Kevin Garnett wishing Tim Duncan Happy Mothers Day (knowing full well that his Mother was dead).

They should be hit with a fine -- and Norman will get one -- for their equally reprehensible conduct.

He should show more restraint and not let opposing players get under his skin like that; he's opening himself up to other teams trying to get a rise out of him.

Revis pulls the same crap, chirping all game long trying to get a rise out of the guy he's defending, I saw him jawing with Des Bryant during the game Saturday night.

Don't rise to the bait, just torch the guy on the field, let your play do the talking and don't lose your cool.

Oldest trick in the book and he fell for it.

Does anyone really think that the Carolina Panthers or a member of their team was going to assault an opposing player with a baseball bat on a football field in front of thousands of witnesses and cameras?

I just don't get Denver; in the first half of the game today, they looked like worldbeaters, up 27-13, then their offense and defense both laid an egg in the second half and they blew the game 34-27, they were gifted a boneheaded INT by the Steelers late in the game and did nothing with it.

They've now got 4 losses, the Patriots have 2, the Bengals have 3; IF Denver beats the Bengals next week and the Patriots beat either the Jets or Miami and finish 14-2 or 13-3, they have HFA for the playoffs.

Amazing.

Thanks Pittsburg.

George,
Hopefully the Burg takes care of business the next 2 weeks. I think I am rooting for the Donkos this week to beat the Bungles and then oh God I am going to say this, I would love to see the Ravens miraculously beat the Bungles the last game of the year.

OF COURSE, this is predicated by the fact that the Steelers NEED to win on their own the next 2 weeks.

TD
