NFL 2015 Season (2 Viewers)

This is my last comment on here because I find it ludicrous that a group of highly educated folks (I am not calling you out by name b/c we are friends) can sit here and defend the utterly despicable display by the Bengals last night. I would be saying the same thing if it were not the Steelers playing them. If it was the Pats, Giants, Jets, Cowboys, etc etc etc I would say the same thing.

As for Shazier's hit, I can tell you all you have to do is look at the kid's bio and reputation, he is not a punk, was it a penalty whether intentional or not,YES, but it's not his fault the officials didn't call it. How anyone can ever defend an ignorant crowd booing an injured player is just insane.

Also, please review the footage of why the Steelers coaches were on the field - it was an injury timeout and there were coaches from both sides ON THE FIELD> PUNKMAN Jones is a first class idiot who has no class, he got what he deserved and as I said before, Burfict's clearly illegal hit and general behavior (he incited most of the bad blood throughout the game to the point the announcers and TV crew looked for him specifically whenever there was an issue, on his great interception, he ran it up the ramp to the locker room, nice class again). Again, this guy and an a number of others have no business being on the football field and anyone who thinks they should be is nuts in my opinion. That goes for every team and includes Michael Vick (NO he didn't deserve a second, third in my opinion).

To end this, hopefully the next playoff games are much better and leave a lot of what I saw last night out of it. I hope the Steelers beat the Broncos, but if I ended up seeing a Carolina or Phoenix or Minnesota against KC, Pats or Broncos, bring it on, will be a good game.

Bingo.

The Bengal hit was not illegal, shoulder and nothing else; the Steeler hit was brutal, helmet to helmet, led with the crown of the helmet, caused a fumble.

Sorry Steeler fans, that's total and utter BS.

The inconsistency from one call to the next is maddening to me, this league is a complete and utter joke.

And yeah sure, Pacman is a punk; always has been always will be.

To throw a flag there and hand another team a win is beyond pathetic.

The moron who threw the elbow the play before, I have no problem with throwing a flag there, that's just stupid, stupid, STOOPID.

As a Patriots fan, having the Bungles come here and the Chefs go to Denver would have been the ideal scenario. Pittsburg going to Denver with a banged up QB and WR who got his bell rung is just what Denver wants.

George,
we will agree to disagree, but the Bengal hit was targeted and unnecessary, exactly what is in the rulebooks, it was an easy call for the officials. Let me be clear, I am happy the Steelers won, but I don't care who played the Bengals last night and their behavior, it could have been anyone and they would have been the "right" team winning as long as Cincy is going home where they deserve to be. They should take a serious inventory of their players and fire them, if I was Marvin Lewis, I would ask to get as far away from that bunch as I possibly could, to me they are a disgusting group.

Brad...

are you saying the weather "favors" the Vikings?

you like Minnesota +5?

I'm still leaning to Seattle...

Mike,

I'm saying, yes, the weather probably does. It's the third coldest game in playoff history apparently.

yea...

I took Seattle...

2 minutes to half time and their offense has shown me nothing...

I think the smart bet was under 41 1/2 total points...

Tom,
This will be my last comment on it as well; first off, in no way, shape or form do I think the way the Bengals acted last night is acceptable.

They played like punks for pretty much the whole game. The Steelers, from not one but two of their coaches were not much better.

And yes, coaches are allowed on the field during a injury time out.

Riddle me this; the player who was injured was a WR, the coach come to find out who was out there stirring the pot was a linebackers coach.

None other than bigmouth Joey @#$%ING Porter.

What is Joey Porter doing on the field there?

That should have been matching penalties, he started it, Pacman was dumb enough to take the bait, shame on him.

Again, a win is a win.......................

Looks like I'm going 0-3 this weekend. Somebody up there doesn't like the home teams.

Brad, when you buy your Powerball ticket, pls text me so I can pick opposite numbers!!! Just kidding, all of the games have been screwy to say the least. I guess that is why they always say on any given day!

I sure hope the Redskins can break this apparent homefield jinx that has sprung up so far in these playoffs. -- Al

Tom,

If I were you, bet the house on GB today as I picked the Skins!

I think the pressure got to the Vikes kicker. No other explanation. Like an otherwise reliable closer in a World Series game not getting it done.

Brad

OMG, what an epic choke job.

No other way to explain it.

Peterson should have just done a kneel down in the middle of the field there, ball ended up on the left hashmark.

The kicker knocked it strait through instead of pushing it right.

Seattle got their rear ends handed to them for 45 minutes, end up with gift TD thanks to a fumbled snap, a broken play, a miracle heave downfield and a first and goal out of it.

Absolutely unbelievable, that stooge Pete the Poodle survives to coach another day.

Epic, epic fail; he truly Gary Anderson'd that one..........................

I feel bad for the Vikes, was really pulling for them, kind of tired of seeing Seattle, but as anything else, Seattle hung around and good teams who do that find a way to win and usually get a little luck!

Kickers......................

Tell me you didn't just go Gary Anderson on us...

Oh, the pain...

Sorry padre, it was the first thing I thought of when I saw it, what a shame.

That FG was shorter than an extra point attempt on top of it all.

I loved the post-game analysis:
Bridgewater just didn't make the plays in the 4th quarter to win the game.
Uh, he drove the team for a chip shot field goal. That goes through and he has a game winning drive.

Sheesh!

Redskins have left 5 points on the field to this point. Wonder if it will come back and bite them in the butt? -- Al
