NFL Season 2016-17 (3 Viewers)

There is a four letter word begining with f-frank that I feel towards the rams. I hope they go 0 and 16, plus loose all 4 pre season games, that every starter gets a season ending knee injury in the first game and stan kronke gets rectum cancer. Other than that, "go rams".

They are expecting 90K+ tonight in LA at the Coliseum. Biggest crowd in preseason history. I saw some of the Rams stuff in the Coli painted blue and white. That would be great if they are wearing the old unis.

It makes you wonder why football has been gone this long from a major metropolitan area.

The Rams will honor the original team that played in LA starting in 1962 by wearing all white uniforms at home this year with blue lettering. One can only hope they'll break out the blue and white helmets as well. It looks like the only time they'll wear their iconic blue jerseys is a road game in Tampa early in the year as the Bucs wear white at home in September when it's 900 degrees in Florida............................

He probably spent the off-season sitting around, drinking beer while setting up the toy soldiers he collects (at least that is my excuse).

Jason...in that picture...he looks like he ate the toy soldiers...

I'll see him live tonight (on the sidelines) along with their non existent pass rush and their porous pass defense that they did nothing to improve in the draft...

Elliot may haunt that team for a long time...he wasn't my first choice...

it's sad when after the draft...
analyst say a running back is their best defensive player...
keep the D off the field with ball control is not a defense...

That picture must have been taken at a bad angle as they just showed him walking down the tunnel prior to the game and he looks to be in tip top shape to me.

Just keep him upright this year, avoid the injuries and take it from there; the NFC East is not a powerhouse division, so best of luck this year...............

And Dallas runs the opening kick off back for a TD.

Looking good so far.

Sean McDonough sounds great calling the game too, glad to see he got this gig...................

I'm reminded why I hate NFL preseason games. Even with 90k back in LA under that California sun the game is boring. And the Rams pawning off their current era white unis as a throwback to the great blue and white uniforms of the 60s is laughable. I assume some marketing guy thought that up.

It's such a simple concept; you left St Louis, so change the uniform and change it back to that great uniform from the 60's like you said, they'd sell a boatload of new jerseys, a chimp could figure that one out.

If you switch cities, switch uniforms.

Spruce looked great last night although he was playing against guys who will be working in the fast food industry in a couple weeks. Undersized but the man can catch a football. Hope he makes the team. Jerry Jones seemed more excited about football in LA than ESPN. That network seems to be on life support. I mute the TV when those talking head dinosaurs start babbling.

Well as I said previously, barring injuries the Patriots are the clear cut AFC favorites.

Two preseason games in, Lewis their starting RB is now out 8 to 10 weeks, Vollmer their starting right tackle is done for the year on IR, Mason their starting left guard broke his hand, Nikovich their starting left defensive end tore a triceps muscle, out a month and Sheard, the other end, is hurt, no word on his status.

Oh and Brady is out the first four games.

So much for being the favorites, it's going to be a rough season, that is for sure. Have to go with the Steelers as the favorites now, Denver and that defense second, New England third (at best).

Football, like no other sport, is a killer when it comes to injuries.

Imagine they are toying with expanding the season to 18 games?

I am not sure it matters and/or means anything but the Patriots are still the favorite to win the Super Bowl at 7-1.

The injuries keep piling up though; Sheard has a sprained MCL, out 2 to 4 weeks now.

We'll see how things shake out.............

I feel your pain...there is no way to make up starters...there is a reason why they are starters...

Absolutely Mike; they are down both starting defensive ends, their starting running back, starting right tackle and starting left guard.

Plus, their two starting WR's are coming off injuries, their opening day status is not known.

Oh; and not sure if you've heard, but their starting QB is suspended for the first four games......................:wink2:

the good news is...Garoppolo is leading the league in preseason passing yardage...he must have a good grasp of the system...

Is he really? I haven't been paying attention to be honest, preseason NFL football is just awful...................wonder what the line will be game one at Arizona?

You know the Cardinals will be favored, but....................pretty tempting bet Mike to take the points on the road.............

NE is always tempting with points...

I have won more money betting on them over the last 10 years than any team in the NFL...

they have the killer instinct mentality...and will run the score up...

good for the chalk bettor to cover the points they lay...
