I hear you Jason, I never thought much of Cappy one way or another as a player, just looks to me a flash in the pan for about half a season that got him into the Super Bowl, now all this mess, you can believe that the media, newspapers will live on the "stand or not to stand" story from here on out, shame as teams prepare for the start of the season this will be the main focus in San Fran for some time, already seen a "special report" discussing this coming Thursdays night game being played in San Diego (home of the West Coast Naval port) and whether Cap will stand/be there or not?? on a meaningless 4th preseason game?? Hang in there Jason, hopefully things will get better...Sammy

Caught Harbaugh's post game press conference where he was complaining about having to play preseason games.

While this guy is the king of whining, for once I agree with him. Preseason games are a complete and utter joke. They are disasters waiting to happen, look at what happened to Romo, your season can go bye bye in the blink of an eye.

College football teams don't play preseason games, don't understand why the pros do.

Oh right; it's another cash grab for the billionaire owners.

Well at least they don't play 6 like they used to, maybe someday they'll cut it to 2; but naturally if they do, they'll just tack those 2 games onto the season number and boost it to 18.

Maybe if enough owners see their $50 million plus investment lying on the ground injured in a meaningless preseason game it will result in ending the preseason nonsense. It is ridiculous and pointless to play these games.

Great thoughts and I appreciate the support.

One great thing about this forum and this thread in particular is that I get to read about other teams through the eyes of forum members sych as yourself. To that end, I have become a mini-fan of many teams, The Ravens, Patrtiots, Redskins and Jets just to name a few. So while I put my allegiance to the Niners on hold I have plenty to cheer for and follow in the NFL.

Not looking good for Pete's Vikings, Bridgewater was taking from practice today by ambulance in a air cast on leg/knee?? haven't heard exact details but doesn't sound very good at all, can't go a day in the NFL these days without someone being hurt:mad:...Sammy

Romo should retire. Normal, healthy bone in a fella his age shouldn't fail like his have. Don Meredith never won the big one, but had enough sense to quit because he was constantly injured. Time to hang 'em up, Tony.:(

Agreed, Romo should go before something catastrophic happens.

And I am not questioning his toughness. He once played against and beat the Niners in OT after he broke his ribs earlier in the game. Oh yeah, he stood for the National Anthem in that game too.

Amen. Those bones that keep fracturing, four of them so far, are in his spinal column. Love or hate the guy, I can't imagine anyone wanting to see him crippled or <gulp> paralyzed. Watching him try to play is like watching a dog get run over by a car...again...and again. If he doesn't go on his own, Garrett ought to cut him loose.

He has one of the best offensive lines in the business blocking for him but it seems like a steady wind can injure him at this point. He has had a great career and many speculate that he can move straight to the broadcast booth if he wants. I'd hang it up.

I hate to agree with ya'll...
but Romo makes me cringe whenever someone gets near him...

Prescott is having an unreal preseason...
and even some of my Cowboy friends are jumping ship after this last injury...

year in and year out...
he's been a stat leader...
but stats mean nothing when you look at their record...
and his health...

I feel he can be productive...
if healthy...
but with no defense...
they will never go far...

they continually draft offensive players...
and sometimes I feel like I'm the only one that sees their glaring defensive problems...

after the draft...
the press actually said that Ezekiel Elliot is their best defensive player...
hopefully his running the ball would consume clock and keep their defense off the field...

I remember watching the game when Denver came to Dallas ...
and Romo put up 48 points...
a sure win by any other team...
what more can you do...
then the defense gave up 51 to Peyton...

game after game...
I watch them lose on last minute drives by their opponents...
and it's hard to watch...
it makes my stomach hurt...^&grin...
I take it too seriously...

I don't blame Romo for anything...
I know nobody will agree with me...
but to me...
he has been a stud...
he needs help...

but you just can't win with no pass rush...
no sacks...
no turnovers...
and letting the other team steal the game on last minute drives...

so...
Dakota Presott is the next man up...
drafted in the 4th round...at 135th...
broke and set a lot of records for Miss St. in the SEC...
a tough division...
he can throw...
he can run...
but...

he can't help on defense...

I don't think they will ever go far without a pass rush or a secondary...

such is the life of a football fan...:(...

I agree with you on Romo. He has done his part for the team. I liked watching him play and by all accounts he is a pretty decent and approachable guy off of the field too.

Did you watch his entire interview, he mumbled and bumbled through it and really never produced one specific instance that caused him to form this "Grand Stand". Just a bonehead.

Watched the last preseason game tonight, the 3-0 Patriots lost to the Giants; yet another undefeated season down the tubes thanks to these *******s..............:wink2:

Last chance to see Brady for a month; wow, this is really happening.

After all the talk and the investigation and the suspension and the appeal and the overturning the suspension and the appeal and the overturning the overturning of the suspension, a year and nine months later, it's finally going to happen.

Just unreal.

The first month is going to suck, I'll be shocked if they go 2-2 without him, the drop off to Gacrapalo is pretty steep.....................thank God I've got two shows this month, so I'll miss two of the games anyway.

Already have tickets to his first game back vs the Browns, that is going to be one great sporting event.

Whatever............................
