NFL Season 2016-17 (2 Viewers)

Ok, I'm very confused, someone help me out; Denver was losing 13-0, they scored to make it 13-7, then forced a 3 and out and marched down the field again, went for a FG and got it, 13-10.

They forced another 3 and out, were driving again when Derby fumbled, Titans recovered, Denver lost.

Wait; what?

That's not the script the way the NFL lays it out for Denver, they ALWAYS pull out close games they have zero business winning.

I don't get it.

OH.......................AND..................Glazer reported today the Giants filed a complaint with the NFL that they found two footballs that weren't properly inflated in the Steelers game last week.

The Steelers cheating?

The team that perfected better growth through chemistry in the 1970's?

Say it ain't so Roger...................get Wells on the phone; you know, for the whole "integrity of the game" thingy........................

And speaking of the NFL; it really would be something to see if the NFL actually brought professional football back to Los Angeles.

28-3...

Aaron Rodgers is destroying the Legion of Boom...

after the Washington loss...he said Green Bay could win out their remaining schedule...

I believe him...

they have had a pretty tough schedule this year...

Gents,

Man this sucks and Rodgers. Seahawks being sore losers. I hope Hundley can do it for the rest of the game.

COLD IN GREEN BAY!!!

John from Texas

Russell Wilson...

5 interceptions already...

still 6 minutes left...

1 more and he could tie Fitzpatrick...

Cowboys are gonna be playing in the snow tonight...

advantage NYG...

My, My, how things can change in a week, the AFC playoff teams are wide open in the North, South, West, as well as the 6th seed wildcard spot for a bunch of teams now that Denver lost today, Titans, Dolphins, only the Pats seem to be sitting pretty to win the East, should be a interesting 3 weeks to follow.

Tannehill blew out his knee, he's done, so is Miami; if the final game of the season means anything and the Patriots go to Miami and lose to the tomato can known as Matt Moore, they don't deserve make the playoffs..........................

After trailing the 49ers after about 11 seconds 14-0, the never say die Jets under the leadership of Todd "Blood and Guts" Bowles pulled out a dramatic come from behind win, thus blowing their shot at the #1 pick, although the Browns appear to have a lock on that.

The Jets have the heart of a champion, you just can't teach that.

Nice crowd shot of the stadium today on the Red Zone; it looked like "come dressed as an empty red seat day."

Right before game time, there was a reported 241 people in the stadium. Petty didn't play badly but the Niners are not a real good team right now. I was rooting for the Jets and my son the Niner fan was pulling for the Jets so the Niners can stay in the hunt for the number 1 pick.

As far as the top picks, that would fall to the Browns, 49ers, Jags and the Bears.

If Jets fan want to pick on their team, that's one thing because we're pretty harsh critics but we don't need some outsider, let alone a Patriot fan, to do that for us.

Louis...

good game...
hate to see that streak end...
but your defense was pretty awesome tonight...
if not for that blown coverage...
Dallas would have been shut out...
hope we don't see you again this year...

Mike,

I have no idea where that defensive performance came from. It looked like they put Lawrence Taylor from 1986 in a time machine, and disguised him with an Okwara jersey. Our offense was still anemic, Eli was awful, as were both Jennings and Flowers, and OBJ dropped two passes which would have given the Giants first and goals. Either our defense is the second coming of the Big Blue Wrecking Crew, however, or your team can't play in the snow.

Oh, and George, what did you think of our porous defense? Still think the Patriots defense is better? If you had the Giants defense the Patriots would win the Super Bowl walking away . . . :wink2:

I am still shocked the Giants won, with this stinker of an offense, I don't know if we will win again this season.

Louis...

they said JPP could return in the playoffs...so it could get better...

the Giants have a habit of peaking at the right time...
now is the time to get hot...

I don't want to play you again in the playoffs...^&grin

Mike,

A star might have been born tonight, that defensive end Okwara who filled in for JPP was fantastic. Reminds me of the emergence of Justin Tuck at the end of the 2007 season. If the Giants make the playoffs, and get JPP back, their defense should be one of the best in the league, but I still have no confidence in the offense. They showed the stats during the game, Flowers is the worst left tackle in football. Eli is starting to get happy feet, because he knows Flowers can't protect his blindside. That and Jennings being the worst starting tailback in the league makes me see the Giants as fatally flawed.

Jeff Fisher tied the NFL record for most losses by a head coach. A record he will no doubt break on Thursday night when the Rams play Seattle. Fisher seems like a nice guy but the Rams are the worst offensive team in just about every category. Unbelievable how bad their offense is. Time to fire him so that some other team will hire him for tens of millions.

I guess I spoke too soon. Fisher won't get the chance to break the record for most losses this week. He will have to wait until someone else hires him:

"Jeff Fisher's run as the Los Angeles Rams head coach is over after four-plus seasons. The Rams announced Fisher's dismissal Monday after Los Angeles lost 42-14 to the Atlanta Falcons."

Maybe Fisher should just retire. He is still 7 or 8 games over .500 for his career. He should just go out a winner. If he's hired to rebuild another team, it won't take long for him to be a career sub-.500 coach. -- Al

Great point Louis; after the game JPP was asked to rate Okinawa's performance and his reply was "I thought he was great, he did a very good job filling in for me. I'd give his performance a two thumbs up...............but, well, you know..................."

As far as your offense; just resign Tyree and Manningham, the two miracle catch guys from 2008 and 2012 and you'll be in business.

I'm sure if you search a few of the car washes in the tri state area, you'll find them both................................

As far as that spectacular defensive effort last night; all the Giants have to do is play warm weather teams at home, at night, in January, in sub zero temperatures on a frozen field that feels more like the parking lot at the stadium than the actual field itself and you'll be in business to stay on track for that world famous "Get on a roll at the tail end of the season and ride it to another Super Bowl win" that the Giants have perfected every 4 to 5 years.......................

I played on Giant stadium's turf 22 years ago. Getting tackled on it felt like getting dragged across concrete coated with sandpaper. I have no idea how you could play on that torture device every other week.

The fact that the Niners will probably end up with the second over-all pick instead of the number one over-all pick really sums up their season. How many times does a team only win one game yet they still do not have the worst record in the league?

The original owner of the Patriots was Billy Sullivan, a guy who put the C in Cheap. He built the old Schaeffer Stadium back in 1971 for about 42.00, what a dump it was, aluminum benches with seat numbers stenciled on them (good luck getting your "seat" back in the winter if you had to use the mens room as with all the winter gear on, you were shoehorned into the seats as it was and your seat disappeared once you got up.

The field was that old fashioned astroturf, it was absolute dog crap. My junior year in high school, we advanced to the state Division four finals and they were held at Schaeffer stadium like that was some sort of reward. It was a freezing cold December morning and the field was basically frozen.

I asked some guy who was with the stadium on sideline why the field was so hard and he said "It's asphalt underneath the astroturf...........................
