NFL Season 2016-17 (2 Viewers)

You can only beat the teams on your schedule; you don't pick 'em. You can't look at the whole season as one but how they are playing now and I don't think there's any team that is hotter. They didn't just beat the Seahawks, they destroyed them. It's not how you necessarily played over the whole season but how you finish up and they're finishing it up on a tear.

I definitely see your point, the Packers have won 5 games in a row, and the Patriots and Steelers have won 6 in a row. They are all peaking at the right time. As I mentioned, I am just not sold on the Packers and I do not think they are better than Dallas or New England.

I missed the game last night but looks like the Lions are heading downwards. Should make for an interesting game against the Packers.

In the current five game streak, Rodgers has 11 TDs, 0 INTs, Packers are averaging almost 31 points a game and have a +13 turnover differential.

I think the big story last night was the continued emergence of the Dallas "UFOs." These unknown defensive linemen who are turning into monsters. Gregory was activated last week, Irving was a practice squad player for KC last year and others no one thought was a starter. They dominated Detroit in the second half last night.

Redskins control their own destiny. If they beat the Giants, they are in. With the Dallas win over Detroit, whoever losses the Detroit/Green Bay showdown is out, providing the Redskins can win. Even so, I don't expect the Redskins to go far, given the chance, and beating NY is always a tough nut to crack for the Redskins. -- Al

Then we are getting some of our starters in the secondary back which is shoring up the D in Big D.

Bradley...you know your Cowboys!

Gregory was surprisingly good for his first game back... (14 game ban)...that Purple Dank almost ended his career...he put a lot of pressure on Stafford...chasing him out of the pocket and got one solid hit on him...

Irving for the second game in a row has really helped with 1 1/2 sacks and one hit on Stafford last night...and the 1 1/2 sacks and 5 hits on Jameis Winston last week...he's had 4 1/2 sacks in December...at 6'7" tall and 274 pounds...he is very fast and strong...hard to block...

Mayowa is also really stepping up the last few games...as their secondary really needs the help...Claiborne is supposed to be ready for the playoffs...so that should help also...

the 4 sacks last night really helped the secondary...Collins got one also...and Demarcus Lawrence should be back soon...that will help too...

this is great news that they are developing a little bit of a pass rush as Marinelli rarely blitzes...I wish he would blitz a little more...as the secondary is not very good and they need to force some errant throws from the QB's they will be facing in the playoffs...

was amazed that Stafford didn't get more yards...

they didn't use Zeke much either...12 carries for 80 yards...I thought they might let him take a shot at Dickerson's record...but I guess that doesn't matter...was glad to see Bryant more involved catching 2 TDs and throwing for 1....I watch his sideline persona and interviews...and he seems to have "chilled out" 100%...hope he keeps that "it's not all about me" attitude...

good luck in the playoffs...

Inevitable after last year. Rex may be finished as a head coach, at least for now.

On the other side I had no idea that Detroit's secondary was so decimated. John Gruden mentioned that two of the corners who started the game were practice squad players, one of which was brought on during the middle of last week.

I don't think it would have mattered much because Dallas is so good, but without most of their first string DB's Detroit was in trouble.

Dallas at Philly today...

Dak Prescott...2 drives for 1 field goal...

Tony Romo...1 drive for a TD...

Mark Sanchez...2 drives with 2 interceptions...hahaha...

not much of a back up for the future...

maybe they should keep Romo on the bench next year...

Raiders down 17-0, they're down to their 3rd string QB as the back up got hurt.

They've gone from the #1 seed to possibly #5 if they lose and KC beats the Chargers.

Unreal; the NFL is a brutal sport, injuries are back breakers.............................

I think Carr and the Raiders were the hardest spot for NE...you should have an easy road to the Super Bowl...

The Giants, when they have nothing to play for, beat the Redskins, holding the #3 scoring offense to 10 points. After laying an egg against the Eagles last week, with a playoff berth on the line. Go figure.

Well the Bengals put the nail in the Ravens 2016 season mercifully, after the Xmas heart break in Pitt last week I'm surprised it wasn't even a worse score then 27-10, so it goes 8-8 on the year, lots of fixing to be had to make this team playoff worthy again, a real OC, O-line needs work, need to find a legit no.1 receiver, as well as a better defensive backfield, Ozzie has some serious work to do....good luck to the guy's teams that made the dance.

Chip Kelly fired, as was the stooge who coached the Chargers.

Chip should have stayed at Oregon, he's not an NFL coach.

Kubiak retires after two seasons in Denver; Just for men hair dye is going to need a new poster boy.

Maybe that oaf Philips will take over in Denver......................

The slate of games next weekend looks like Oakland/Houston, Jints/Packers, Lions/Seahawks, Miami/Steelers.

Good Christ; four dumpster fires, looks like a good weekend to reorganize my sock drawer..........................

Better make it fast with those socks, Packers and Giants looks like a good one as does Seahawks and Lions. Raiders and Houston does look terrible, with Steelers Dolphins slightly better. Overall, the AFC looks like a snooze fest unless Steelers face Pats. Every matchup in the NFC is must watch.

I just want to get by the Dolphins and then think onward! Steelers again are set up, revenge game, at home, cold weather, Bell should shine, but we shall see.
