unreal TD drive with 1:18 left on the clock...from their own 25...with only 2 timeouts...

Total defensive collapse by the Ravens in the 4th quarter. Very disappointing for a team that played so well for the other 3 quarters of the game. -- Al

The defensive swagger this team had with Lewis is long gone, they have lost their identity, not the punishing, feared unit they used to be, have taken too many hits with retirements and losses in free agency...........................The Steelers scored three TD's in the blink of an eye today.

Offensively, they are scary, but that defense........................we'll see how things shake out come playoff time.

And by the way; wow, loved those Steeler uni's today, especially the jersey, beats the crap out of that absolutely hideous bumble bee throwback jersey.........

Detroit at Dallas....after Carr and Mariota...both getting knocked out for the season...I hope the Cowboys will sit Dak and Zeke for most of the game...the game is meaningless to the Cowboys while Detroit is definitely in a must win mode...so expect an all out effort on the Lion's part...they should let Romo play and use McFadden...McFadden is more than capable as he was the 4th leading rusher in the NFL last year (2015) when gained almost 1,200 yards rushing while only starting 12 games...and that was with all their opponents keying on him as they had zero passing game...no point in playing Dak...

watching KC demolish Denver...they just had a 350 pound DL line up as QB and throw a TD...Fridge Jr....

Maybe the Falcons are for real? Though I am still unenthusiastic about the NFL, generally, the Falcons have my interest.

4. TD passes everywhere. Falcons tight end D.J. Tialavea became the 13th Falcons player to catch a TD this season from quarterback Matt Ryan, the most in NFL history according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

5. The 500 point club. In the 33-16 victory over the Panthers, the Falcons became the 20th team in NFL history to score 500 points in one season. The Falcons have scored 502 points on the season. (One game still to go.)

While there are still questions to be decided about ceding, all 6 AFC playoff teams have clinched, and 4 out of 6 NFC playoff contenders have clinched, leaving 3 teams (Packers, Lions, Bucs) vying for 2 spots. If Detroit wins tonight in Dallas, Tampa is eliminated, leaving next weeks Packers-Lions game to sort out which of these teams wins the NFC North, and which gets the second wildcard.

Don't forget the mighty Redskins. As unlikely as it seems, if the Redskins beat the Giants, and the Packers lose, the Redskins are in, or if Detroit chokes twice... -- Al

It's almost impossible for the Bucs to make it. Although it's conceivable that the Skins could make it, I see both the Lions and Packers making it; Lions are tough at home.

Sleelers clinched the NFC north, eliminating the Ravens with a terrific last minute touchdown drive. Congrats to Tom.

Thanks Louis, needless to say it was a nail biter and frustrating. Taking nothing away from the Ravens in my comments, I am really POD at Big Ben for the 3rd quarter mental collapse. They had the game set up for the taking and the idiotic interceptions nearly cost them the game. Hats off to them stepping up in the 4th and refusing to lose as that is literally what they did on both sides of the ball. Again, the D has a near collapse when it mattered. The game is one of inches and it looked like we would intercept Flacco on literally the second or third play of that drive to ice the game..............then I realized it is 2016 and not 5 years ago. Our D is suspect, but it also plays a lot like our offense. If the offense plays mistake free football, D is not in crappy positions.

All in all, we are in the playoffs and now it is up to us to stay hot. I think we are a dangerous team, but there are 5 others looking the same way. I do like it if we get the rematch against the Dolphins at home, that would be a perfect pick!

George,

Unis are actually my favorite ones and it has been a long time since they wore them. I would suggest they continue to wear them!!! One other note is that even though Ben had the bone headed INT's , his line was awesome, only had 4 pressures and 1 hit on him, zero sacks the whole game. That allowed the 21 pts in the 4th qtr. I am just frustrated with the inconsistency, I hate to say this and not to sound like a smart A##, but you get used to a team that is consistently lockdown on D and no INT on O and I can't say we are that way anymore. It spoils you.

There were some great games this weekend but I still don't see anyone beating the Patriots or the Cowboys once the playoffs start.

The issues the Patriots were having on defense earlier in the year have been solved, back to back games where they did not allow a TD, first time that has ever happened under Belichick.

They need to keep their eye on the prize and take care of business in Miami on Sunday, lock down that #1 seed so the playoffs run through Foxboro...............

With the major QB injuries this weekend to Mariota & Carr it is also worth noting that the two playoff teams that could lose their starting quarterbacks and still make it to the Super Bowl are Dallas and New England.

Considering how the Packers are playing, I think they will be a threat. In addition, in recent history, teams with the home field advantage don't always advance to the SB.

Now that my horse is no longer in the race I can watch some of you other fellows sweat out the playoffs :), as far as the AFC I see no major threat to another Patriot Championship, BUT if the Steelers tweak their defense a bit, and the 3 B's play a full game instead of a 4th quarter I can see a Pats or Steelers representing the AFC, as far as the NFC you're guess is good as mine, sorry Mike M. I just do not have the confidence in 2 rookies (very good rookies mind you) to put the team over the hump to the Superbowl, if the Pack/Rodgers get hot at the right time in the playoffs you never know with that team, kind of like Seattle and I believe the NFC will be represented in the Superbowl by either one of those 2 teams...so let's break it down...Pack gets on roll and beats Dallas on the way to the Superbowl, Pittsburgh finds some magic and a little luck they beat the Pats on the way to the Superbowl...so there you have it, a Packers vs. Steelers Superbowl. winner....Steelers

Sammy...Jason...I have no confidence it the Cowboys going very far...and that's okay...they have had a great season...while I can still hope...I'm somewhat content that they have had such a great turn around season...they have some very young players for the future and hopefully can draft some defensive help next year...I'm anxious to watch both Irving and Gregory (Mr. Purple Dank) tonight...I watch every game...I record them and then watch them again...and I see all their flaws...their defense will not hold up in the playoffs this year...but I really think they have something to build on for the future...I don't know how my bookie has them - 7 1/2 tonight...I'm guessing he's just loaded with cowboy bets cause his customers are in Texas...I fully expect Stafford to shred their secondary tonight...in the playoffs...Ryan is my biggest scare...he has put up over 500 points this season...Dallas cannot deal with that offense...

Sammy,
I love the love, but am skeptical, but I would like nothing better than a rematch against the Packers, always felt like the Steelers let that one slip away.

All of that said, we gotta lota tweaking to do to make that happen!

Well if you all win at least my loss yesterday wouldn't go in vain :)

I guess I am still not a believer in the Packers. Their recent 5 game win streak consists of wins against the Eagles, Texans, Seahawks and the Bears. Couple that with the 20th ranked defense and I am just not there yet.

You can only beat the teams on your schedule; you don't pick 'em. You can't look at the whole season as one but how they are playing now and I don't think there's any team that is hotter. They didn't just beat the Seahawks, they destroyed them. It's not how you necessarily played over the whole season but how you finish up and they're finishing it up on a tear.
