NFL Season 2016-17 (3 Viewers)

I think Cappy will stay, Chip Kelly wants to give Kaepernick a true shot at his run and gun offense which really should benefit him as a QB on paper anyway, and good luck to your 49'ers to Jason, hard to believe it was a short few years ago we're fighting for the Superbowl title and now were fighting for top 10 draft picks!!^&grin

It does seem like just yesterday that the Ravens and the Niners met in the Super Bowl.

I'll wait for Warrior's assessment. All other comments are mostly from poor losers.
" It has never really been a question of his guilt ..." my behind.
Go Brady

So I guess the NFL and the fans of the rest of the teams win and Brady and the Patriots lose.

This has more to do with punishing the Patriots for all the perceived things they've done since 2001 to gain an unfair advantage over the rest of the league.

Because afterall, they didn't do it with superior coaching and talent, they did it by cheating, so let's drop the hammer on them once and for all. I'm sure all the other owners are happy about this as well, nice to see how they turn on a guy when he's down, ie, Kraft, he found out pretty quickly he's got no friends in the league.

The NFLPA blew it by allowing the commissioner to hear appeals; as soon as I saw he stepped in and exercised his authority and was going to hear the appeal, I knew Brady was toast.

At this point, take the penalty and move on; think of how the rest of the league will melt down when they go 4-0 with the back up in there.

Not to sound like a poor loser here but just let it go, the Pats lost a 1st round pick, paid a huge fine for something that has turned into a 3 ring circus over and over and over again? just isn't worth it in my opinion, it sucks as this is one of the more fun weeks in the NFL with the draft Thursday nite, but guess what was on every sports channel around the clock today?? yep the 'ol Deflategate returns to raise it's ugly head for the umteenth time!!:mad: get over it NFL Commish/regulators all the fans have...Sammy

Technically, it's not Goodell but for Brady to "get over it" as it was Brady who initially brought the proceedings in Federal Court.

One of the judges who ruled today found his conduct egregious in destroying the phone. Perhaps they might have found otherwise had it not been for that act.

What happened here seems pretty clear. At some point during this season or even earlier, Brady gave the word to the equipment guys that he wanted the balls under inflated. So they have been doing that for him based on this understanding. Brady likely did not contact them before the playoff game or have anything to do with deflating the balls himself because he didn't have to. They already knew that is what he wanted. It was done by the lackeys based on this understanding. So Brady can say that he did nothing himself to deflate the balls and didn't instruct his lackeys to do so before that particular game without it being an outright lie. After the fact when it hits the fan, he starts contacting them telling them to keep quiet and because he is an idiot he uses his own phone. Now he is stuck when they ask for the phone and has no option except to destroy it. In the meantime, the equipment guys disappear like witnesses against Whitey Bulger. They probably have their own island somewhere on Brady's dime. Brady is surrounded by sycophants who tell him he can do no wrong and so he stupidly continues to protest his innocence like Lance Armstrong believing he is above the laws that apply to mere mortals. So I anticipate he continues to fight it because no one wants to give him any bad news. A smart PR person would advise him to accept the penalty and explain he is doing so not in acknowledgement of any wrong doing but to avoid the ongoing distraction to his team. Making him appear to be the victim making a noble sacrifice for the sake of his team. A lot of bull but his best option among a lot of bad ones.

agreed...and that would put this to rest and we could all move on...

Mike:

Big talk in Texas today about the Cowboys drafting Ezekiel Elliott at No. 4? I still think they are going defense but with Jones you never know.

-Jason

Jason...

nobody ever knows...
no matter which NFL team's coaching staff is picking...

it's the reporter's job to get everybody in a frenzy...
that's how they get online traffic and subscribers...
they will say anything to create a controversy...

I have not seen any big talk in Texas about Elliott...
but I have seen a few reporters trying to make stories about several draft picks for Dallas...
and many other teams...

Elliott would be a great addition...
but I think they need more help on defense...
the Cowboys have lost more games on last minute drives than I care to remember...
they rank among the lowest in interceptions...turnovers and sacks...

they just can't stop a mediocre to great passer with their defense...

Dallas has a pretty good "O line"...
especially for running plays...
Elliott would make a dramatic difference on offense immediately...

but with McFadden's decent year and then drafting Morris from Washington...
I hope the emphasis is on defense...

I originally wanted Bosa...
but there is so much talk about his off field antics...
I don't want a Johnny Football type attitude in the locker room...

Hardy is gone...I hope...and his disruptions with him...

I'm hoping for Ramsey...but will take Bosa...

can anybody comment or expand on just what Bosa's off field antics are?

looking forward to tonight...

I'm an armchair QB...but hope they are thinking like me...

The Rams made an awful trade to move up to #1. In the NFL, you always risk a guy getting hurt or not panning out. Particularly with a QB. Better to have quantity to fill out the ranks than putting all your eggs in one basket. But who knows? Maybe they get lucky and the QB pick turns out to be the real deal.

Mike:

Sports talk in San Antonio keeps talking about Elliot and how much Jones wants a return to the run game. Offensive skill positions always get the attention in the draft and I think that has a lot to do with it.

If Jalen Ramsey from FSU is still there at 4 the Cowboys should take him as he is considered a shut-down corner and the best all-around athlete in the draft although San Diego will probably take him at 3.

I hope the Cowboys do well in the draft.

Best,
Jason

yea Jason...

sports talk radio is trying hard to hype their show...

there working as hard as they can to make it interesting...

they want listeners...

the running game won't solve their defensive problems...

I remember a few years ago...
Peyton and Denver came to town...
Romo put up 48...with 5 TD passes...
the Cowboy's defense gave up 51...

what a laugher it was...

no defense and lose on the opponent's last drive of the game...

this has been the theme for the last decade...their defense is the worst because of no pass rush and no secondary...

I have read countless mock drafts where the Cowboys have selected everybody available...

6 more hours and I will know what they do...

I hope it's a defensive pick...

I was just listening to ESPN radio a while ago and I heard them mention that Bosa's off the field issues were with marijuana. They went on to say that teams could care less about that except that the NFL tests for that which could lead to a suspension etc.

Jason...thank you...I have heard he has issues...but have no reporter elaborate...

that might hit hard with the Cowboy's thinking as they have both DeMarcus Lawrence and Randy Gregory suspended for four games each on failed drug tests for banned substance abuse...

when are these millionaires gonna grow up a little?

I am praying that the Giants take the best available offensive tackle or defensive end at #10. My wish list: Laremy Tunsil, Joey Bosa, Ronnie Stanley or Deforest Buckner. If the Giants get any one of those guys, I will be thrilled. If they are gone, then Jack Conklin or Shaq Lawson are my consolation prizes.

I think they may all be gone by then. My son is hoping that the Niners pick Buckner.

Jason...

I guess I should listen to San Antonio sport's radio...

while Ramsey was on the top of my wish list...

I welcome Elliott and hope he has a healthy successful career...

they should have a solid run game now...

I hope the rest of the pics are defensive players...

Laramy Tunsil, rated #1 overall on most draft boards and no lower than #3 on any I've seen drops to the Giants at #10, but the morons pass on him because he smoked pot, and draft a friggin defensive back rated between #14 and #22 overall on the various boards. They have 2 good cornerbacks under contract. I have no clue what the Giants are thinking. If they don't fire Jerry Reese I am going to start watching the NHL!

Louis...

you have to watch the video of him...

http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/...sil-s-twitter-minutes-before-nfl-draft-042816

it's pretty funny...

he has smoke filling up his mask eye holes...

that video might have cost him some $$$...

Well this has been a fun night for me.....................we're on to the second round.

I am pretty happy with the Niners first round, they took a DE with Oregon's Buckner at 7 and got a top rated offensive lineman in Garnett from Stanford.
