NFL Season 2016-17 (2 Viewers)

Amen.

Kraft found out the hard way there is no honor among thieves, he's has no friends in this league when it comes to the 31 other owners.

So much for him stepping up to help get the last labor dispute resolved; his attitude next time I'm sure will be "You're on your own, you other 31 fellas figure it out, I'm staying out of it."

Would love, love, LOVE to see them go 4-0 with the back up in there, 31 heads around the league would explode at the same time.

What honor are we talking about? That of a Patriot's owner that sits by and lets his coach and quarterbach cheat and play outside the bounds for winning and losing..Someday the silence of Bill's past coaches will be broken and then we will see how great he never was...Michael

This is all kinds of awesome; I'll see you this weekend at the show Michael.

You left out one thing......................

Brady has filed his appeal with the 2nd Circuit, asking the full court to reconsider the 2-1 decision by a panel of the 2nd Circuit.

If Brady loses, it's possible that he would file an appeal with the Supreme Court, the court that has decided such cases as Marbury vs Madison and Brown vs Board of Education to consider deflated footballs. Absurd.

Please God, no more of this, make it stop...............take the punishment and move on, enough is enough.

The NFL and it's ginger haired stooge won, so get over it.

The only way to kill the undead is to drive a stake through it's heart, cut off it's head and then stuff the mouth with garlic. Anyone know where Goodell sleeps during the day? I can't take anymore deflated balls stories. -- Al

The chances of the 2nd Circuit changing its mind is very slim and if he should decide to appeal to the Supreme Court, I'm sure they will refuse to hear the case.

Brady does have an excellent attorney on his side, Ted Olson. He's one of our most distinguished attorneys, having served as Solicitor General under the second Bush, argued Bush v Gore, Citizens United (campaign spending) and the case overturning the same sex marriage ban in the US Supreme Court. In the Supreme Court, he's prevailed on 75% of his arguments.

If you want a heavy hitter, Ted Olson is it.

George:

I feel the same, take the four games and move on to another Super Bowl run. Win the Super Bowl and you have the last word.

Sammy:

Well said! I love baseball (especially when the Giants are winning) and all it has to offer but the one off's each week in the NFL truly can't be beat. I prefer brisket as my game time meal, but ribeyes sound good too!

As far as our teams go? Flacco should be back for your Ravens and I am hoping Chip Kelly brings a little swagger back to the Niners.

-Jason

On a few sites (for entertainment purposes only) the Niners are 80-1 to win it all. Only Cleveland (200-1) and San Diego (100-1) have worse odds.

So Sheldon Richardson, who got busted for speeding and leading police on a high speed chase, had three passengers in the car including a 12 year old, plus a loaded handgun............oh yeah, and he reeked of weed, got a whopping one game suspension today.

All of that and he got one game.

Think of what would have happened to him if he destroyed his cell phone as well.

I hope his tires were properly inflated, would hate to see air pressure become an issue again.

Yeah, this league is totally on the up and up.

You are right on, the Patriots should just take their game balls and go home. Oh, yeh, that is what got them in trouble in the first place^&grin..Michael

I think in both cases, the punishment fit the crime; driving 143MPH high on weed with a 12 year old in the car and a loaded hand gun is far less of an example of conduct detrimental to the game than allegedly taking the air out of a football.

Because afterall, in the end, it's all about protecting the integrity of the game, just ask the ginger haired stooge in the corner office.

I'd love to have one of the NFL reporters ask him how those two incidents warrant 1 game vs 4, but they're all in the NFL's back pocket too, so none of them will have the sack to ask.

Sorry but I don't think it's funny. What kind of message are you sending when you only suspend him for one game. He should have received four at a minimum. He could have killed other motorists by driving at that speed while under the influence, not to mention having a minor in the car. It makes what Brady did look like nothing in comparison. They're not even comparable.

Brandon Spikes rear ended someone late at night last year prior to training camp opening up and abandoned his vehicle and left the scene.

The league suspended him four games for doing so.

The Patriots cut him after the incident.

And Richardson got 1 game for what he did.

Like you said, what sort of message are you sending with that rinky dink punishment.

But hey, it's July 4th weekend, NBA and NHL free agency has started and Spinach Chin/the wolfman in Indy just signed a massive contract, so this story will get buried, just like the league would want................................

The 2nd Circuit has denied Brady's petition for a rehearing so he will have to serve at least a portion of the suspension as the Supreme Court will not be in session when the season starts, should he decide to appeal.

"We're on to week five!".................

Brady has decided enough is enough, he's done and will serve the suspension.

Also, while suspended for those four weeks, he cannot under NFL rules have any contact with the team; no practices, no viewing of games at any stadium, he cannot enter the football facility period until game 4 is over.

So, when do does come back, he'll have 6 days to get ready and in synch with the team for game 5.

I predict 2-3 after game 5, the season officially over before it has begun.

The NFL has won, congratulations, superb job.

Ok, I'm in the middle of a show down here in VA, so back to work.................we see ya'll after game 4...........................
