Plastic Spartan pics (3 Viewers)

I just ordered my spartans today from BT Soldiers of course. I swear they need to hire me for advertising. Maybe I'll have to start asking for a discount every time I mention there name. haha Anyway I am excited to receive mine. I should have them by Wed. at the latest. I ordered and paid today and I know Mondays are always a shipping day for them so woohoo won't be long till I have my spartans in hand. Has anyone else here gotten theirs?? What do you think of them?

I'm picking mine up tomorrow. Finally, the wait is over!

Wait til you discover what you can do with them, even more impressive than advertised. One small example is that you can raised the helmet flaps.

The one displayed in my earlier picture, I already swapped one of his arms, the picture shows him with the new arm I gave him, you can also just change one hand if they are holding the weapon using only one hand.

Got to see them first hand yesterday at the Lawrence Show and all I can say is wow. Matte had all the blister packets available and they were selling. Boy I hoping Conte provides the Zulus as mention and I'm not worried about waiting for them and won't be crying if they take awhile........The Lt.

I have done the same with several of mine so far. You have to be a bit careful; I did mangle on arm connector that will have to be repaired but at the price of 9/1 to the metal version, that is not a bad risk.;)

A+++++ Originally I bought these for my boy since he has been nagging me ever since we first heard about them. Finally today I got to give them to him and watch his face light up like it was Xmas morning. As he opened each card I found myself just as intrigued as he was. Already having most of the metal sets I found myself wanting to p/u the plastic sets so I could mix and match and make a complete 300. I'm really debating this one the only problem is I'll need to find some1 that can paint the plastics just like the metal sets.

The Spartans arrived at the mancave Tuesday morning. Thrilled with them.Parts swivel, or POP out so you can put arms , heads on different torso's.Havent had time to get too creative with many, but I did get one painted, right out of the blister.Have a few more Primered so I'll paint those and post pix.Coolest plastic soldiers ever.Swoppets for Petes sake! cplastic1.jpg
They're so nice, I was considering selling the 50 or so metal ones I have but my Nephew threw a hissy fit. He's 35.Not 5 .

Sheesh Fub, you're not wasting any time! Neat paint job. Just another 299 to go. Still waiting for mine to roll up the drive, hopefully in an impressive 'V' formation.

Got a hunch Simon you've enough green paint on hand awaiting their arrival. Once agin Fubar the magic paint brush of yours brought the figure to life....The Lt.

Did you fix the arms or did you leave them loose?
The points of attachment and joints are located such that I do not think fixing the arms will be necessary. We'll see as more join the ranks with there brethern.;)

I think it would depend on how much moving around of the arms and hands you want to do after painting them, one would think not much, but....................

Actually from messing with them, I think it depends more on how much you want to swap the arms. As long as you don't try to paint over the joints, moving them should have no effect. Of course it is theory until we have some field experience.;)

I just went ahead and pose them as I like and glue it. I dont need action figures and I'm afeared the paint will scratch moving parts around.Maybe not, but simply posing and gluing works for me.
Havent had time to do anymore.Maybe next week.

Fub,
They look awesome! Brilliant paint job. Stiiiiiiiilllllllll waaaaaiiiiiiiting for mine....

Nice work as allways Harold looks like them Spartans might be to hard for me to resist.
Think I would paint them as Mercs for Punic Wars.

Well they are Conte 60mm, who would match them against, the K&C Romans?
