Does anyone have a photo of the horse drawn bus?

Try this from the MKL catalogue Scott

I finally found my email from Len dated August 4, 2006 as to some production figures as follows: Steam traction engines=64; Leopard=28; Eagle=35; Lion=18; Victoria=66. Horse drawn buses=156 and WW1 Lorries=139. None about the dhow or small Nile gunboat.

WW1 Lorries-139. That's good news for me as I am on the hunt for them!:wink2:

I just saw a Trophy "Dad's Army" set up and ebay, and immediately bid on it. Guys on this forum got me hooked on that show (I bought the complete boxed set), and I have a Heco Tinplate Home Guard Nissan Hut, so this one is a must have for me.:smile2:

Good luck, Louis... it's very scarce set indeed ... I found an old new stock of them (5 in total) and use them for trades only.

Cheers Martyn!! Helpful as always. I thnik Damian has one of these but with white horses.

The four white draught horses in my album belong to a Christmas special set of a draught wagon carrying beer and driven by Santa Claus. I think it was called the Spirit of Christmas. The Horse drawn London Bus I have has brown horses. I am not sure how to interpret the 139 WWI lorries as there were a number of different sets with them. There was the Searchlight set which I do not have and the Somme Siege Train Set which had two different options in term of the artillery piece being towed as well as the so called Long Range Snipers Set. There was also a very good motorized ambulance and the WWI bus which was one f the last sets Trophy produced. The trucks and carriages were all metal and superb. Trophy will always be missed as far as I am concerned.

Thanks to Al, I will be adding a Dad's Army set to my collection at the show on Friday.:smile2:

As I believe there is no such thing as too much of a good thing, at the show today, after completing the trade with Al, I found and purchased another Trophy Dad's Army set, mint in the box.:tongue:

I just sent Brad a photo of the two Dad's Army sets on a Heco Tinplate Models Homeguard Nissen Hut with a polite request that he post it on this thread.:smile2:

I bought the second Dad's Army set at the show yesterday for $45 U.S.

The Dad's Army set on ebay sold for 82 British Pounds!{eek3}

I thought that was waaaaaay over the top myself, the buyer must have really wanted it. I'm pleased you got yours at a much more sensible price Louis{bravo}}
