They are sort of the same? My recent purchase is the second picture.

Another nice group Mark

The soldiers in khaki trousers are from the Egypt and The Sudan set#EQ28-Unloading the wagon - Royal Sussex Regiment. The soldier in blue trousers, along with the wall of boxes, is part of the Anglo Zulu War set#BD4 - SAVAGE FURY

Well, I think the Trophy prices went down overall in the last two months
mostly because a couple "high rollers" slowed down a bit :) they do not jump on EVERY Trophy item listed :)
It's sad in a way because I have more Trophys to sell :)
Just my 2 cents

Maybe Al, but I haven't seen any Citadel or West Point sets for sale^&grin

I'm interested in seeing what PW1 sells for:wink2:

I have heard that Trophy WWI sets don't do as well on ebay. I would love to find one Trophy WWI truck for my collection of WWI vehicles, but I haven't seen one on ebay in months.

Louis, for some reason WW1 and ACW seen to be the least popular of any Trophy that were produced, some times sets on Ebay don't receive any bids.

Thanks Martyn. I may have found my WWI truck with the help of our friend Tom Dubel. I should hear back by around 2:00 p.m.

With the help of Tom Dubel and George Guerierro, I just bought the "Somme Seige Train" set with the truck pulling the big gun and limber for 2/3 of original retail. Got my Trophy Truck out of the way.:smile2:

You will love that set, Louis. I used to have it before I sold off my WW1 Trophy. Very well made and heavy duty. If memory serves, it comes with the truck (with a canopy over the driver, on or off, your choice), a caisson, and lastly, a long barreled gun. Also comes with 6 seated figures and baggage that goes in the truck. Great get. -- Al

Thanks, Al. I had given away most of my Trophy collection (I used to have somewhere around 1,500 figures, the Victoria Nile River Steamer and the Union Steamboat Eagle [which I still have]), but I had never bought any of the WWI trucks. I decided, since I have a lot of WWI vehicles from several manufacturers (Heco Tinplate Models, HG, Tommy Atkins, Toy Army Workshop) that I should have at least one Trophy WWI vehicle.

The WWI figures are a bit bland but the artillery sets and trucks ambulances etc are superb. The craftsmanship is outstanding.

Louis, Awesome set!!! Now, can I have it????? Just kidding, very cool that it was there, pays to have a good memory sometimes!!

It will be interesting to see what the gate goes for. I have to agree about the Trophy WWI stuff. Just because the demand is not there does not mean the craftsmanship and quality is absent as well. I have quite a bit of it and am pleased with everything, albeit the color is not that of the Egypt & Sudan sets!
