The seller has added a note that he understand these are Trophys.

That's right Brad, but if you did a search looking for "Trophy" in "Toy Soldiers" it wouldn't show this listing. Now if you did a search for "Zulu" in "Toy Soldiers" it would, and did:wink2:

Martyn,

You're right. Sshhhh, let's just keep it between you and me :wink2:^&grin

I have a feeling that this eBay auction for an Indian Mutiny Troop Carrier will go for big bucks. It can be accessed here.

Mucho gracious Martyn :salute::

I have it saved and shall watch closely. Didn't realise there was a non Christmas version.

Go for it Scott, I will not be bidding on it:wink2:

Just for info, a damaged one sold last year for £99

There are quite a few pretty cool Trophy sets on e bay at the moment.
I wonder if the high prices that have been achieved by some sets are causing people to list their collections.

Did you see the incomplete Rocket Battery set go for £365 this afternoon

Take a ticket, Tom! :) The economy seems to be really bad: the folks posted over 150 Trophy lots at eBay this week...Tons of Naps, I enjoy watching "falling Trophy prices" ^&grin... The BR Dragon gun dropped from $400 to $200, I wonder for how much the currently listed set will go?

Wow...Who are these people? We must know our heroes!^&grin^&grin

The original set description is as follows....

"There are two firing troughs, one loaded ready to be fired. Major Russell of the Royal Artillery has just bought down a Zulu with a pistol shot. A Royal Artillery Bombadier ignites a rocket whilst his assistant seconded from the 24th Regiment kneels ready to reload the trough"

The wounded Zulu is missing and in his place is a Private opening an ammo box, the helmets were not included in the original set. Unfortunately I spotted it too late to inform the seller that there were discrepancies between the pieces for sale and the original set, the seller may or may not have taken any notice of this info.

Just out of interest the original set cost £34.50. I will post some pictures of my sets, EQ36 (ROCKET BATTERY) and EQ36A (ROCKET BATTERY ADD ON SET) later today or tomorrow

Cheers

There is some heavy duty action going on ebay right now with the Maharajah state car (accessible here) and an 18 figure Ludhiana Sikhs set (accessible here).

On a per figure basis, as it stands now, the Sikh set is a good deal, $21 per figure.
