Just picked up a Roman Senator from AeroArt to add to my Romans (that imperial Rome dio got me wanting to add more to mine!) and the other is
Napoleon's Coronation. The casting is from Master Class and I am not sure who did the painting as I picked it up at an auction...

Beautiful figs. Congrats. Chris

Here are a few that I've purchased over the past few weeks that just haven't made it here yet.

The first is Standard Bearer of the Pskov Musketeer Regiment, 1803-06. The casting is EK Casting and the painting was from SPD Dolls out of Russia.
Next is AeroArt # 6229 Thespian General Demophilos and then
Scottish Knight w/Sword (crucifix relic) from Kolobob )not sure on the casting. If you know, let me know so I can update my files.

I bought this guy once but he got completely annihilated in the post and I had to send him back....alas that was the end of my Ancient Greek collection.

I'd like to see First Legion do the Thespians because a large group of them with black capes and shields would be an ominous sight. Gotta love that helmet as well.

Zach,
I have a similar Robert the Bruce in exile figure coming. Love seeing what I should receive!

image.jpgHello!

I finally got my mini-diorama from Olga Zernina in St.Petersburg.
First of all, I love the work, it is so detailed, I am almost out of words. Remember this is 54mm, I have taken some close up to illustrate what I mean.

Remember I am no photographer.
However, there has been a discussion here about the risk of damage under transportation, and this was damaged when I received it, figures had fallen over, and had to be glued to base again.
The packing was more than good, but I guess the diorama was not suitable for transport. Olga suspected this, and wanted me to come and pick it up myself, I will do that the next time.

WOW!! That is incredible! Just a beautiful diorama. It is a shame it came w/ displaced figures, but it sounds as if there was no paint or metal damage and that you just had to reattach a few things. It's a wonderful composition. I can't imagine it painted to a higher level than it already is. Congratulations!!

Yes, I guess I was lucky this time. I spent quite some money for it, and took all the responsibility, so it could have gone really wrong. But now I have a beautiful diorama of some of my ACW heroes that will stay in my family forever. I will never risk to destroy it again.

Hello Gentlemen!

I bought this awhile ago, and need help in identifying the uniform.
The St. Petersburg book do not help me, because this is not listed there.
I think he is confederate cavalry, but I would appreciate further information.

MY best guess is one of Terry's Texas Rangers. Part of the 8th Texas Cavalry

Russian Vityaz ME31

I counted 69 lions on this piece, and when you look at the tiny lions with a magnifying glass they are as detailed as the larger lions! {eek3} And it's all painted on an intricate fabric design. ME31 has always been among my absolute favorite Arsenyev sculpts, and this example is one of the finest ones I have seen if not the very best.

Stunning. There is so much action in that sculpt and the painting is wonderful. Great pickup joe!

Love the figure and painting Joe - but can you tell us a bit more about him?

I looked around the web a bit - and found a Vityaz ME31 - labelled Henry Plantaganet, Duke of Lancaster - which looks to be the same figure - but painted quite differently. The shield ( and horse caparison) was in plain red, with the three lions, differenced by three points in blue, bearing yellow fleur-de-lys?

Was there an alternative painting for this figure? jb
