I enjoyed making my Mountain Cabin diorama so much last week...that I made a Mountain River Cave diorama...it's 24"s wide...15"s deep and 11"s tall...this was a fun project...I have not seen anyone make caves on here yet...but I thought it could be practical for the FIW era...I used a variety of figures and props for the pictures...I was worried about repeating figures in the pictures...but even as long as I have collected JJD...I didn't realize how many "peaceful" figures John has developed...anyway...I tried to use a lot of different figures so the viewers wouldn't get bored too quickly...

Just remarkable, Michael. Love the picture that encompasses the whole dio. Really shows how much effort into building this was needed. -- Al

A veritable feast of photos, super variety!
Love the use of the canoe figures here and there, especially with the trade goods.
Feel a bit concerned for the redcoat about to be done in....
Thanks for sharing Mike!

Hi Mike,

I thought your last project was the dogs bollocks! But this one is even better. :salute::

For your next project how about a waterfall scene similar to the one from LOTM. :wink2:

Superb effort.

Jeff

Michael

Pure artistry and an absolute treat for the eyes. Beautiful work. If I saw this dio at any of the shows you attend in the States I'd buy it as well as having- I'm sure- a very enjoyable chat with the master who built it.

Bob
