Rugby World Cup (3 Viewers)

Watch a re-play - if you can - as it was a very good one - with a surprising end! jb

Don't normally watch games where I know the result but will watch this if on. Just to see their tries.

Not only did they win but they scored 34 points. Even if they had lost by 30 points but still scored 34 would have been a great acheivement.

One of the biggest sports shocks ever.

When I watched the Hong Kong Rugby 7's quite a few years ago one of the biggest moments was a small Japanese player chasing down and tackling a huge rampaging Fijian who looked unstoppable and headed for a certain try. The crowd went nuts.

I watched it this am - as I'm currently in NZ. I too, knew the result- but just wanted to see what happened. Now I know that everyrone likes a David v Goliath type of result - but I have to say, I was honestly both surprised and delighted by the attitude and play of The Japan side. Well worth their result - and well worth a watch - whenever you can.

And yes Wayne - maybe it had something to do with the coach :salute:::D- but it's the 15 players on the pitch at any one time who can stick the points on the board - and they certainly did that! Well done to them for that! Certainly the surprise result - so far. Hope there isn't another shock one tonight - or should that be this morning???? I can now appreciate how difficult it must be - to keep up with this time difference!!!^&confuse:D jb

It is after all 'The Game played in Heaven' and so miracles can happen, just imagine if Japan had beaten the All Blacks!.....mass suicide in the Land of the Long White Cloud.

Probably not , great game Japan but I wouldn't want to be lining up against the Boks in their next outing. Here's hoping for some quality rugby not dominated by refs .

I watched the game and yeah the Refs weren't the best but come on,The Boks still should of smashed them credit where credit is due Japan where great.

Mate you wish, there are 6x Kiwi's playing in the Japanese side, hence the win.^&grin

The Springboks need to move into the 21 st century and stop living in the past
Eddie Jones is coming to Cape Town maybe he will be the next Springbok coach
He helped them win it once before who knows in the future

Its amazing how some coaches seem to gel so well with certain teams. Eddie seems to have done the unthinkable with the Japanese side, with a little help with the imports and I'm sure he'll be in hot demand if they continue to impress.

As for the Boks, they've always been a physical side and like you say capable of so much more. I really wouldn't want to be the next side they face, now that they have something to prove.

Well done Wales. Looks like a big injury toll in that game.

It was always going to be close, but didn't think Wales would pull it off. England and their fans will hurting after that loss.

And didn't SA come out all guns blazing!
