SO the quarter final line ups seem to be emerging.
Looks like there will be a six nations stream and a tri nations stream
So no all Southern Hemisphere final is likely.

Yeah , its looking like a SA /Aus quater fina is a strong possibilityl and the winner of that playing NZ in a semi
[provided there is no major upset which is always possible] .

Unless we chuck the game against Samoa.

Unless we chuck the game against Samoa.

Although it would be a major upset Samoa are certainly capable of giving anyone a run for there money.
It is a sell out so should provide a good spectacle with a fair few bone crunching tackles thats for sure.

Can't seeing it happen Damian, however know-one expected the Irish to knock over the Aussi's either.{eek3}

The England v Scotland match this weekend should be a good-one too.{sm2}

At home on leave.
Watching Romania vs Georgia.
Who would ever have thought rugby would be so popular in eastern Europe.
Springboks vs Samoa tomorrow.
Should be good.

The Springboks vs Samoa clash was a punishing encounter for both sides by all accounts, I have only managed to see some highlights thus far. The score seemed to reflect this too 13/5 to the Springboks. You could tell the Samoan team/fans were guttered by the result.{sm2}

Have got the England vs Scotland game tonight, should be good. I wonder if the Brit management team will try swopping the match ball around again to suit Mr Johnny Wilkenson?{eek3}^&confuse. This previous tactic during the Romania match has gone down like a "cup of cold sick" here, with many international rugby commentators labelling the team cheats:redface2:

They received a big telling off by the IRB, for breaking the rules, which seems a bit soft when its been revealed that Samoa copped a $10,000 fine when one of its players failed to wear the proper branded mouthguard during its game with Fiji. :(

On a happy note, yeah really great seeing the eastern Europe teams emerging and playing some good physical rugby.

Roll-on the Tartan Army......we might see a wee bit of Braveheart tonight ya think?

Cheers.

Glad the Boks held on for a victory.
Australia vs SA in the quarter finals
Should be a good game.

Yeah that will be a cracking good game, both teams will be desperate to reach the semi's.{eek3}

I really enjoyed The South Africa / Samoa game it was a good contest especially the secound half .
The Samoans tried one too many hopefull passes at times and SA got some important turnovers but very little in it.
Scotland v,s England should be good hopefully the Scots can beat the odds and topple the English tonight .

Worked at Eden Park again last night, sadly mostly outside the stadium, however got to see some of the first half of the game live, particularly the Scots first points. Great match really, great atmosphere, the fans were fantastic and really got into the party mood early on:D, despite the result.:eek:

Real shame the tartan lads lost in the final moments, a gutsy effort by them,{sm3} however the Brits sneaked in again at the final huddle.....and thats rugby.

Have to say the fans were magic and it was nice to see Scotland and English fans leaving the match celebrating regardless of the result....I have to say they could teach some of our Kiwi and Aussi fans a thing or two about holding their liquor and enjoying the moment.^&grin

Regardless of all the negative media rubbish printed in the NZ Herald and splashed all over our TV news sites its a great tournment and the fans are loving it:D

Cheers.

Thats if we get there, with Dan Carter now injuried and Richie the skipper on the bench as well anything is possible?{sm2}
The french will sneak through. How can you lose two pool matches and still get into the quarters. No-one else could do it. The South will battle it out in the knock out stages. It is a bit close to call between NZ, Australia and SA. France will beat England and will beat the winner of Ireland vs Wales.
I will wager an ice cream they make it there.

Yeah ,Dan Carter is out of the tournament now so its a big loss.
You have to feel sorry for the guy all that build up then injured while training.

Yeah its official now, due to a freak accident yesterday at training AB's superstar Dan Carter is out of the RWC with a groin injury.

This is real bad news for both him and the Ab's, especially at this stage of the tournment........bugger!

I'm sure the guys will bounce back though and get on with the job at hand.......go the All-blacks.{sm3}

On a happy note, apparently NBC TV net in the states is going to broadcast live the AB's vs Canada match and intend to do the same for the final in 3x weeks time......its a bit of a first for international rugby.:smile2:

Injurys,tell us about it you Kiwi,s will be right with out Danny boy,he is getting old just like poor old Ritchie...:D:D
Joke fella,s joke,i would of liked to seen everyone at full strength so when we win it there is no excuses.......;);)

I'll take the wager on the ice cream - England to beat France :smile2::smile2::smile2:

HeHee Cheeky Aussi,:p:D.......nice one Wayne mate, yeah its a blow for the AB's, but the Wallabies have been hit hard with injuries too. It's going to make things a little more interesting now i think:wink2:

We certainly know whose playing the quarter finals now. The outcome for the England/France clash is anyones guess as neither team has preformed well so far and it seems to me its only the Irish who are playing with real fire in their belly's at this stage.{sm2}

Yeeha roll on the quarter finals.^&grin
