Sad News from Treefrog Treasures (3 Viewers)

Sad and unexpectedly shocking news. Shannon is truly one of the Pioneers of this Hobby. My deepest thoughts are with the Reuss and Treefrog Family.

Sad sad news my thoughts are with you and your family

Very sad news indeed. Every time I dealt with Shannon she was always so positive. Shannon is the nicest person that I have met in the hobby (many are pleasant, some are friends, but Shannon was genuinely NICE). May the Lord bless you Shannon and be with you and the rest of your family.

I'm very sorry to hear the news. Although I've only had the opportunity to converse a few times with Shannon over email, those conversations were always pleasant. I wish the best to your family. The Treefrog staff are a terrific bunch, and as Pete mentioned, they exemplify the standards and integrity built by a terrific family.

My thoughts, prayers, and well wishes always,

Rob J.

I can't hit "like" on news like this. Though I'm a relatively new member of this forum I have visited it time to time over the years and appreciate the service you and your wife have provided to hobbyists thru this site. It is really great to get together with others of like mind (hard to find in our "other" lives sometimes) and share info, opinions and ideas. I can't begin to list all the great things I've learned and the improvement in my modeling and painting from this site and sites like this by seeing others' work and reading their tips. Folks like you and your wife made it possible.

I can only imagine what you are going through; I can only imagine how I'd feel if I were to lose my helpmeet. Just know you and your wife are in my prayers. Please thank her for me (and I'm sure many others) for what she has done to enrich the lives of others - both for her work here and for the example of courage she has set in this her final battle on this earth.

I am so sorry to hear this very sad news. Shannon has been such a major contributor to the toy soldier world. I met her years ago in Chicago and thought her to be a genuinely decent and nice person; I had hoped that she had beat her cancer. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

I'm so sad about this, my heart and prayers go with you, I know you are a family of God and you will find some comfort and strength with the Lord.
Sincerly,

like everyone else i am extremely saddened by this news.

Without shannon's vision and entrepreneurship none of us would be here right now. No treefrog......no forum. No forum, no interactivity among us collectors worldwide. Think of all the relationships that have been established as a result of shannon and this forum she authored.

How different our hobby world would be if there was no shannon reuss and her developing of this forum. How much has our hobby experience been enhanced due to shannon's efforts?!

I think i speak for us all in that words cannot describe the sadness we feel over this news. Thank you shannon for all you've done!!

My prayers go out to the reuss family at this time.

Mark

mark that was well said, i just found out the sad news alittle bit ago. It's a great testimony to shannon that so many old time treefroggers have gotten on here to pay their respects and honor a lady that really was one of the most important figures in creating the toy soldier renissance we now enjoy today. Thank you shannon for everything and god bless you and your family. Take care greg
