Sherman (2 Viewers)

For me, the quality of the other HB releases, like the panther and kitchen series, plus the limited number of releases makes this a very attrative purchase for me. Although I do not intend to sell mine, the limited edition number factors are a plus feature for me. I have preordered two.

I think its an apples and oranges comparison. Remember the K&C limited editions come with around 5 full and half figures, whereas the Honour Bound Sherman comes with one half figure. Those extra figures do effect the value.

There are any number ways to compare value including the number of figures or the 200 vs 1200 numbers produced. What any individual collector values more is a matter of personal preference, but if the point is that KC tanks are less expensive than HB that is an inaccurate statement. Its apples to apples. The Panzer Meyer is $199. The KC Sherman is $199. That's what you pay for them. The collector may choose to purchase the $200 KC version because it has more figures or the $200 HB version because it is more limited, but you pay the same. Even KC recognizes that there is a significant value to collectors in limiting production by almost doubling the cost of its 1200 run-limited editions. How much would a KC item cost that is limited to 200 made - even with two figures? At least $200 and likely much more.

Louis, I see two partial figures - each tank has a Tank Commander (about a 3/4 figure?) and a driver.

Yes, they are rather expensive, but they look nice in the photos. The photos showed a lot of details like the headlight guards and such that are missing on some tanks. I am curious to get one and see what she looks like.

I have ordered an un-lettered black-over-OD and will letter it for SSgt Pool's "In The Mood" myself. HB was VERY nice about letting me do that.

Gary,

I have already pre-ordered one (Normandy green), and may go for another (winter). I was not saying they were too expensive, I was merely saying I didn't think it was fair to compare them to K&C limited sets because K&C gave a lot more figures with their sets. However, a good point was made that the Honour Bound sets may give less figures, but are far more limited. As I tend to buy both, I guess I like more figures as well as more limited production.

Thank you, Greg. You can place your order through your usual dealer, or directly from Treefrog Treasures if you don't have one. It'd be a good idea if you'd email me directly with the details (info@honourbound.com) and the name of the dealer that you are buying from so I can identify your order correctly.

Thanks,

Ana

Hi again,

I took pictures of the definitive sets (the decals were finally ready) from different angles than the ones I already posted.
