When is this thread going to get taken over by Monty Python. I'll start it off:

After reading through the thread, I became very irritated at the amount of bickering. Someone had a question. I gave my honest opinion, which happened to be the opposite of their opinion. I happen to disagree very strongly with their view, but I still count them as a friend, and don't hold it against them even a little. maybe you think the pole is stupid- so be it (I just like polls{sm4}), but you don't have to say so. Let's just "chill out".

On another note, this last page is VERY funny! George, Brad- {bravo}}^&grin^&grin! Let's try and joke more and argue less.

One last thing- what would you all think of me starting these polls:

• Who really won the War of 1812?
• Who was the best US president?
• Should moderators be allowed to collect toy soldiers?
• Who really was Jack the Ripper?
• Which brand of Toy Soldiers is better?
• What is the best colour?
• Who is a better general- Napoleon, Washington, Wellington, Satan, or a 600lb gamer sitting on his couch playing video games?
• Are forum polls ethical?
• Are dogs or cats better?
• What is the meaning of life?

Just in fun- I hope non of the polls were offensive- if one of them is please remove it.

• Who was the best US president? Al Gore - he never took office and it allowed him time to invent the internet and save the planet.
• Should moderators be allowed to collect toy soldiers? Moderators don't collect toy soldiers - they just confiscate them when you've been bad.
• Who really was Jack the Ripper? Finally Jack (aka Martin) gets some recognition. Feel better now Jack ^&grin
• Which brand of Toy Soldiers is better? The free one in the box of cereal
• What is the best colour? The one you can see with your eyes closed while lying on the floor
• Who is a better general- Napoleon, Washington, Wellington, Satan, or a 600lb gamer sitting on his couch playing video games? The 600 pounder has much more tactical experience
• Are forum polls ethical? No - they prey on the weak
• Are dogs or cats better? Both can be delicious
• What is the meaning of life? It's a movie

Your trauma is in direct proportion to your fear of being compelled to participate in a popularity contest. In this, I have to concede that your fears may be well grounded. Had the poll read 'Which do you prefer - Brett or the queasy feeling that you get after a roller coaster ride', it might well have been a closer run thing. At the very least, the opposing votes might have extended beyond ten.
