Snow (2 Viewers)

It was 40 here today, quite nice. By tomorrow morning it's supposed to be 12 {eek3}

Gotta love the weather forecasters. First they said 4-8 inches, then 3-5, so we ended up with 12 inches. Another week of sub-normal temps coming up. I am ready for spring. -- Al

Same here - another week of cold. But then it's supposed to warm up to freezing. I can't wait.

Up to freezing??? Break out the shorts!

-15 F here this morning. It's the time when you can tell the temperature fro the 'squeak' of the snow when you walk on it. If you've been in cold, you know what I'm talking about.

50 degrees and sunny yesterday. Most ski resorts closed a couple of weeks ago. Winter has skipped the Northwest

The snow here melts a bit on days when the sun comes out - no matter how cold. It then refreezes overnight. Repeat this a few times and the snow becomes as hard as concrete. Slippery and impossible to remove. Cheer up though. Your Minnesota Wild hockey team is on a hot streak. They have jumped into the playoff bracket. Playing as well as anyone at this point.

Gents,

36 Degrees in San Antonio today...all day. A cold front blew in yesterday taking us from the mid 60's to the 30's in about a hour. Mañana will be ugly too, BUT NOTHING compared to the Siberian-Arctic-Apocalyptic-Zombie-Snow Storm(s) y'all are having. Good Lawd!!!

Now for the Good News-the Texas Mountain Laurels, Red Buds and Bradford Pear Trees are starting to bloom!

Gents,

Snow in Abeline, TX...dropping down tonight below freezing with the chance of sleet. Yup, a South Texas blizzard may be coming.

Y'all be safe up North.

Just got hit by a fast moving clipper, dropping another couple of inches but at least the temp is supposed to finally get above freezing...by Sunday.:rolleyes2: Our average temp is normally around the upper 40's by now. We haven't come close except for an odd day or two. This has been brutal on the ol' heating bill. -- Al

This mornings weather forecast showed a "SO-Far SNOW Fall" amount. My town on the Maine Mid-coast has had 115" inches to date with another storm Sunday/Monday and then more Rain - Snow on Wednesday/ Thursday.

At this rate I hope I can get out to attend the the OSTN show in September .....??? {sm2} :(

Meanwhile it's Spring in Toronto with the Arctic Tulips pushing up through the snow to reach the warming air.

Nevermind OTSN, what about Valley Forge in May; you'd better get your priorities in order or else I'm going to have to let you go and find someone else..............^&grin:tongue::p:smile2::):wink2:

Now let me think .... hummmmm .....:rolleyes2: ..... is that a good thing ....:) .... or a bad thing ....{sm2}

Heck, this could be a good Valley Forge Re-enactment setting right here!

Wait ... does that mean that I am a free agent and can negotiate a big contract with another team? Where is Eddie?

There you go, that would be a nice option for you; sleeping at one fleabag hotel after another, all the twinkies you can eat, all the while getting yelled at for being accused of throwing out a moldy cardboard box he puts his moldy shelving units in; you can be the new Pat.................{sm2}{eek3}:wink2:

If he wants to be the new Pat, he will have to learn not to smile :wink2:

OKAY ... BAD Idea {sm2} ... so I will make sure I am dug out in time .... although the rock hard, 5 year old twinkies are an attractive offering.

Got hit again the other night with another inch of snow and ice. Getting dumped on right now with freezing rain AND tomorrow night they are calling for the possible biggest storm of the season in our area with a possible 8 or so inches of snow. This is a never-ending run of snow, ice, and sub-normal temps like we haven't seen in a long time. Already have several inches of frozen snow/ice/whatever on the ground and now more on the way. Oh boy. The body shops and hospitals are doing a booming business. :rolleyes2: -- Al

It's funny, we were complaining about the cold and snow at home. So where do we go for vacation? Pagosa Springs, CO. ^&grin. Been snowing since we got here. Looks like maybe a foot in the next 24 hours. Chris
