Martyn: Simply outstanding. Thanks for posting. Did the boat come with the metal shields, sand bags and protection for the stack?

You stated earlier Martyn that it wouldn't be long before it was on a WAR FOOTING an you haven't disappointed us. Once again thank you for making my day by sharing it with us....Joe

Martyn...I'm a little confused...the British Toy Soldier Company Boat...do you own 2 of them or is that the same one in both pics...if all you have to do is add a few props to turn it from a military war ship into a passenger ship...then that is really nice...I like it when the manufacturer makes our collecting affordable...when you can get two totally different looks out of one piece...THAT'S NICE!!!

Many thanks Michael and Tommy.

Yes it is the same boat, the metal shields and larger sand bag sections came with the boat. the single sand bags are Trophy, these could be found in the prone firing sets but I managed to find a supply of them separately. I made the protection for the stack along with the "crows nest" and howitzer platform

Martyn...you did a nice job on your personal add on...the whole presentation is really great...

Wow Martyn, that is fantastic. The way you have transformed it gives the impression you have two totally different ships. May thanks for sharing, looks like you have had a fun day.

And The Black Watch

Peace in the Nile region is short lived and the SS KHARTOUM becomes part of the ill-fated Nile Expedition in the attempt to rescue Gordon at Khartoum. This time she is converted into a fully armoured steamer

Martyn...I don't think I have seen such a versatile piece before...

that boat does everything except deep sea charter fishing and towing water skiers...

you really can get your "money's worth" with that purchase...

but buying all the figures for each different set up could break you...hehehe...
