The days of taking tourists on pleasure cruises along the Nile are now in the past

Here the Paddle Steamer “Khartoum” transports two Nordenfeldt machine guns , along with their Naval Brigade crews, along the Nile

Once again what a joy it is to see you creating the various photo dioramas featuring events that have or may have taken place during the Sudan Campaign. Thank you Sir Martyn.
 
A few Dervish riflemen take pot shots as the “KHARTOUM” heads up river

But the Black Watch return fire and are far better shots.

The rest of the journey is uneventful

After this trip the “KHARTOUM” will some become a stern wheel Gunboat

Martyn...these are really cool...I love how you are re-producing the photos with your figures...keep these coming...you're doing a magnificant job on your diorama reproductions...this is a great idea...

I know you have a large enough collection to re-do almost any scene you want...great work...

every time I see you gun boat...I "ooooooooh and ahhhhhhhhhh"...it's soooooooo cool....
