Great collection and very good photos (hence no need to apologize). I like the way you displayed them..

Thanks.
There are a few differences between the camera I previously used and the one I now have - and it does take a bit of getting used to.

Those are really cool sets from a company that produces quality stuff but never seems to get much attention here on TF.
Well done for posting such great pictures.
A picture is always worth a thousand self opinionated words.

Harry

They are indeed great looking figures and well displayed amongst the rest of your stunning Chinese collection.

I shouldn't ask this really but have you won the Chinese lottery as it looks to me like a hell of a lotto new figures you have there :D

Harry, what can I say?..........awesome :) I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of that cannon fired flaming spear!!!

Thanks for taking the time to post so many photos of your rather envious Asian collection.

Regards

Jeff

Btw, who does the dusting?;)

Damian,

Thanks very much for your comments which are always worth reading.
As can be readily deduced, I'm a great fan of EoI's products and intend concentrating on them and many of First Legion's releases in future. To be honest, I'm not certain which company's items I prefer - lets just say they both have their own merits and I like both company's products equally well.
Don't know if you happened to notice him, but I'm not too sure what Flashman is doing there, I didn't realise he'd sneaked into camera shot in 16th/17th century Japan until after I posted the photo.
:eek::eek:
The background to this particular shot is the main heating radiator in our living room - which incorporates some ornamental woodwork and I thought would make for a good backdrop.
The actual wooden base is a tray for one of Missus H's fancy tea-sets which I've used before as backdrops and bases for photos of Asian subjects. I like to try and be a wee bit inovative and hide the fact that I'm using teacups as a backdrop. Oh, and there's two tins of Chinese green tea in there posing as Pagodas (?) at either end of the photo as well.
They all seem to work fairly well together.
It's Dark O'Clock in Dalian right now, but I'll see about posting some more in the morning (my time).
One thing I only noticed today though. I traded in my Canon G9 for a G10 model 5 weeks ago in Hong Kong and the adapter for my Macro and Wide-Angle lenses isn't long enough for the G10 which has a longer lens movement than the G9 model. I'll probably be able to pick one up in Beijing in a couple of weeks time though.

Cheers

Well Jeff, we don't have a Maid so I'll give you one guess who does the dusting - and it ain't Missus H.

Dunno if you noticed the photo of the "Rocket Firing Shield" that's one of the exhibits in the Beijing Military Museum that I posted a few weeks ago. I'm toying with the idea of converting a couple of shields off some of my Patriot Han Chinese figures to emulate someting similar - would be pretty unique I reckon.

Cheers
