Bonn was also one of the only forts/Roman communities that was able to hold an entire legion in it's walls- the camp covered a surface area of about 60+ acres.
See Chris, I told you Matt's passion for Rome would eventually carry the day.^&grin I am thrilled to see these as well of course. This is a fantastic line- Legio I- Great for the Dacian wars!!!!!
Ok- so if you read closely, it says 1/30th scale??? I was always under the impression that they are either a.) 1/32nd scale or b.) a small 1/30th scale- is this a size increase??
Also, did anyone notice the circular bases- those legionaires look ready to bust up some chumps!! Great poses!!!
AND AN OPTIO!!! NO ONE HAS GIVEN US AN OPTIO!!! GREAT JOB GUYS!!!
LEGIO UNUS VICTRIX!!!
Hello Paulo-
welcome to the obsession that is Rome ^&grin You truly need to get out into your beautiful country and see the marvelous Roman history there and especially that in the country that neighbors you.
To recommend a list would be rather exhaustive, as there are many many different eras and topics out there. If Roman military history is your thing, I would grab the osprey books- men at arms series for the soldiers and then the Campaign books to give you a good introduction. I always recommend this forum to up and coming Roman fans:

that's a great forum with guys who REALLY REALLY know Rome. There are book reviews and the like on that forum.
Cheers

If they are the FL standard, they will match the old Conte but maybe not the K&C. I have heard that K&C Romans are smaller than their NAPs. If that is true then they might be OK for size.Yes I will be looking at these, will be my first FL purchase, I hope they are 1/30 as stated to blend in with my Conte and K&C and finally bolster the few figures that I have to date. Please post photos when they land. Cheers, Robin.
These new Romans really do look fantastic. So many of the FL ranges are tempting. Must remain focused...
I can beat that:
1) I became American citizen
(The US apparently has real issues with Immigration laws)
2) Finally- FL gives us Germanic Warriors!!
^&grin
I would like to suggest the magazine "Ancient Warfare" (one of many) as a good source of information on different periods of the Roman empire. The magazine also covers numerous other topics and battles outside of the Roman empire. Also the magazine website provides podcast where different topics are discussed in detail. I have been getting this magazine for a little over a year and enjoy it. Here is the site.
