I do like how you blended the scenic shrubbery with the backdrop. Now that you mention it, where did you get the backdrops?;)

Thanks Bill, Sir Bob high priest of all dio's kindly gave me a heads up on a supplier,I can find the name for you if you'd like Bill. Although if you look to the right in some of the pics there is a more modern looking building, was going to paint it out but forgot!. I see Collectors showcase are bringing out a knocked out German Tank in desert camo, thats got me thinking too.

Yes I would like the supplier name thanks. It looks quite nice here, are there other backdrop options?

Very nice Rob, always good to see what other collectors are up to even if it is not my area. There are always ideas that can be used in a different way.

I like this photo with the shrubbery in the forefront as it adds another area of visual interest.

Great work look forward to what you come up with next.

Outstanding display of a great collection! With a little thought and time a diorama sure does tell a bigger story than just the actual piece on display. I've enjoyed viewing your latest work, its always great to see how people display their collections.

A beautiful piece of dio work you have there Rob, as well as some very nice armour to go along with it....Sammy

The Americans have broken out from Omha and are pushing inland, they traverse a field that looks remarkably like the one the Brits and Canadians have just passed through;);

You are certainly getting your money's worth out of the diorama base. :);)

Can we expect a German counter attack?:D

More great shots Rob. I like it that you are making this into an ongoing story. Keep it going!:)

Rob....

Did you repaint the panther or, did you use pigments dry so you can remove easily and still have a pristine CC panther?

Like the way that you utilise the dio

Rob

Mitch,I used dry pigments for the black and a Abteilung oil for the rust.To be honest I got the Panther totally prepared to knock her out and keep her that way so I don't mind. Your advice about the Pigments was a great help Mitch. The dark and dry mud are really good to use and the black smoke worked well on both Tank and ground I think.

Rob...

Thanks for the info. A good choice. Glad I could help. I think dio and paint wise I must have saved hundereds of hours with the introduction of the washes and pigments. I think it worked very well and have some pics somewhere of a panther knocked out and you have done your dio justice.
Look forward to the next set of pics

And the hits keep coming!:) Great shots, Rob. More, please!:D

WOW Rob!! Stellar work! I have a serious case of diorama envy:eek::p. You must have had a blast creating that scene.....a flat out masterpiece. I love the destroyed tank in the background. Great depth and vison; thanks for sharing your skills with us. I really love this hobby of ours:).
