The 124th New York reg't, made up of men from Orange County, stand against Longstreet's 1st Texans on July 2nd, 1863. Col Ellis replied "the men must see us today" after being urged to dismount by a staff officer. Ellis was soon mortally wounded. Chris

Chris,

As others have said, you have recreated such a wonderful rendition. Your diorama brings a more realistic scene to me.

Well done Chris!!

I love it when we're able to re-create a scene from a painting like that.

I personally know how hard it is to do, so I can appreciate how well you replicated the Troiani print like you did.

Great job....!! :salute::

Many thanks gentlemen, your kind comments are much appreciated. And thanks to those for the like votes. :salute::

I re-enacted this regiment before getting into Operation Just Cause re-enacting.

What a great re-creation of a classic image.

I'm on the cusp of retiring and a tour of ACW battlefields and museums is high on my list. So far, I've only been to Petersburg-which was both amazing & solemn.
